Love to play computer games On August 3, it was reported that today, Strategy Analytics, a market research organization, released a report on China's smartphone market in the second quarter of 2018, in which Samsung's performance can be described as bleak. From April to June this year, Samsung sold only 800000 smartphones in China, ranking 12th in the top ten.
The domestic share of Samsung mobile phones in the second quarter was 0.8%, which was the same as that in the fourth quarter of last year. After the release of Galaxy S9 in the first quarter of this year, the sales share of Samsung mobile phones rose slightly to 1.3%, and now it has fallen back to the bottom.
Some insiders said that Samsung had tried to boost sales by releasing more localized smartphones before, but because of the higher cost performance and stronger competitiveness of domestic manufacturers' products, Samsung's goal had not been achieved.
In May this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S luxury version. The configuration of the device is much lower than that of the S9, but the price is not friendly at all. The initial price of 3999 yuan is more like a luxury. After the market was cold, this new machine dropped 700 yuan in 15 days.
By contrast, domestic brands shine brightly. According to Strategy Analytics, Huawei's market share in China is 27%, ranking first, followed by OPPO (20.4%), vivo (19%), and Xiaomi (14.2%), while Apple ranks fifth, accounting for 5.7%.
