After the communication meeting of Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, in order to further understand the deep technical principle of the liquid cooling and heat dissipation technology of THE NINE, Glory Note10 brought all the multimedia and technology experts into the Institute. In Wuhan Research Institute, the technical engineers disassembled the Glory Note10 real machine on site, explained the process structure and operation principle of the liquid cooling and heat dissipation system of THE NINE in detail, and conducted a field visit to the laboratory.
It is reported that the ONE NINE liquid cooling technology adopted by Glory Note10 was led by the 2012 Lab to set up a special thermal design team, which took six months to scrap more than 10000 heat pipes, and finally created a liquid cooling system. The breakthrough of this technology has successfully inserted the D5 liquid cooling pipe with the same diameter (5mm) as the MacBook Air liquid cooling pipe into the fuselage with a thickness of only 7.65mm. It is 113mm long and runs through the hot and cold areas at the same time, covering the whole machine to the maximum extent for scientific heat dissipation. It is understood that this size is the longest liquid cooling pipe design of all mobile phones at present.
The structure of liquid cooling pipe is mainly composed of pipe shell, liquid absorption core and working medium. It is functionally divided into three parts: evaporation section, insulation section and condensation section. Its working principle is: when the evaporation section of liquid cooling pipe is heated, the liquid in the capillary core in this area evaporates and vaporizes, taking away a lot of heat. The steam flows to the condensation section under a small pressure difference, and condenses into liquid after releasing heat in the condensation section, The liquid returns to the evaporation section by virtue of the capillary force generated by the wick, thus completing a heat conduction cycle and forming a two-way circulation system with vapor and liquid coexisting. The liquid cooling tube quickly transfers the heat of the heating object to the outside of the heat source, and its thermal conductivity exceeds that of any known metal.
Deeper technical exploration found that the ONE NINE liquid cooling cooling system is different from the ordinary cooling system, which only has traditional silicone grease and motherboard. Glory Note10 also optimized almost all the structures in the mobile phone for heat dissipation, and successfully created a 9-layer three-dimensional cooling system. After the CPU of Glory Note10 runs, part of the heat is transferred to the evaporation section of the heat pipe through the heat dissipating silicone grease, copper alloy shield, copper sheet and solder. The heat pipe quickly transfers this part of the CPU heat to the cold area of the whole machine, and quickly disperses the heat transferred to the cold area through the aluminum alloy temperature equalizing plate and large area graphite sheet. The other part of the heat of the CPU is radiated to the large graphite sheet of the rear shell after the PCB board is heated, and the rear shell is heated to avoid local hot spots of the shell.
The area of the liquid cooling pipe and graphite sheet with a diameter of 113mm and a length of 113mm used in this technology is the longest and largest in the industry, forming the best liquid cooling pipe layout and heat dissipation path in the industry, improving the heat dissipation capacity of mobile phones by 41%, and reducing the CPU by up to 10 ℃ in extreme scenarios, comprehensively solving the heat dissipation problem.
