On July 18, 2018, Huawei held a new product launch conference of Nova 3 at Shenzhen Longgang Universiade Center, which released two new mobile phones: Nova 3 and Nova 3i. At the same time, Yi Jieqian, the global spokesperson of Huawei Nova 3, was invited to perform on the stage.

In terms of configuration, Huawei Nova 3 adopts Kirin 970 SoC, the screen is a 6.3 inch 2340 * 1080 resolution IPS screen, 6GB RAM+128GB ROM, the rear dual camera is 16 million (color, f/1.8)+24 million (black and white, f/1.8), the front dual camera is 24 million (f/2.0)+2 million, the battery capacity is 3750mAh, and the rear fingerprint identification module is equipped. The machine has four different color matching versions: primrose gold, bright black, light mugwort blue, and jacaranda purple. The price is 2999 yuan.

It is worth noting that Huawei Nova 3 does not support NFC.

In terms of appearance, the back of Huawei Nova 3 adopts 3D curved glass design. The curved glass on the back extends to the metal middle frame, and the color matching of the metal middle frame is consistent with the color matching of the body. But unfortunately, the screen panel of the machine is still black, which makes the color version of Nova 3 less uniform in color.

The default theme color of Nova 3 matches the color matching version of the machine. Unfortunately, the black bangs on the front panel make the scene a little worse. If the color of the front panel of the screen can also be unified, the visual effect will be better.

In fact, Huawei Nova 3 uses a relatively simple and elegant color scheme. The two light colors, primrose gold and light argy blue, also meet the author's preference. Unfortunately, Huawei Nova 3 has put a slightly disharmonious fingerprint identification module on its back.

The four colors of Huawei Nova 3 all use the nano coating process, which is the kind of coating that looks like "flowing light and color" often used by Glory mobile phones. Therefore, the four different color matching machines will also have the effect of "flowing light and color" under the condition of reflection.

In terms of configuration, Huawei Nova 3i is equipped with the newly released Kirin 710 SoC (4 * A73 2.2GHz+4 * A53 1.7GHz, GPU: Mali-G51). The screen is also a 6.3 inch 2340 * 1080 IPS Liu Haiping. The rear dual camera is 16 million+2 million, the front dual camera is 24 million+2 million, and it is also a rear fingerprint module. The battery capacity is slightly smaller than that of Nova 3, which is 3340mAh. It is equipped with Micro USB interface. In terms of color matching, it is bright black, pearl white, and jacaranda purple. 4GB+128GB sells for 1999 yuan, and 6GB+64GB sells for 2199 yuan.

At first glance, it seems that the biggest difference between Nova 3 and Nova 3i lies in the SoC and camera parts. However, after seeing the real machine on site, the author would like to say that there is also a certain gap between their appearance design. The back of Nova 3i is 2.5D glass, which is not as good as the touch of Nova 3. Moreover, the texture of the metal middle frame of this machine is relatively cheap. For example, the metal middle frame of the bright black Nova 3i is frosted.
