The factory covers 35 acres (about 212.5 acres). It is reported that this factory was expanded from the original Samsung Noida factory. The old factory was built in the early 1990s, began to produce televisions in 1997, and completed the mobile phone production line in 2005. Samsung announced the expansion of its Noida factory in June last year. Previously, Samsung's annual production of mobile phones in India was 67 million. After the new factory realized mass production, the total production could reach 120 million. The official said that the factory was ready for mass production.

Not only will the output of mobile phones increase, but the expansion of the Noida factory will also benefit refrigerators, flat screen TVs and other Samsung products. At present, Samsung has one design center, two factories and five R&D centers in India, with more than 70000 employees in India.
