On April 18, it was reported that Xiaomi India had moved into its new headquarters in the southern city of India. Xiaomi's founder Lei Jun, co-founder Liu De, senior vice president Wang Xiang, general manager of Xiaomi India Manu Jain and other senior executives attended the opening ceremony of Xiaomi India's new office and cut the ribbon for it.


It is reported that Xiaomi India's headquarters has five floors, with a construction area of nearly 20000 square meters, and can accommodate up to 700 employees. Lei Jun also said on his personal public account: "In my speech congratulating the Indian team on their happy move, I shared some experiences and feelings of my five visits to India. I focused on the important role played by Xiaomi India in the process of Xiaomi's internationalization, and thanked every member of Xiaomi India team, who made great contributions to building a better future for Xiaomi."


Xiaomi Technology officially entered the Indian market in July 2014, expanded rapidly through online channels, and made a breakthrough in the middle and low end computers, becoming the sales champion of Q2/Q3/Q4 in the Indian smartphone market in 2017. Xiaomi India's annual revenue has exceeded $1 billion, and nearly $2 billion in 2018. It is currently Xiaomi's most important overseas market. It is reported that in 2018, Xiaomi will continue to sell online, but also plan to open 100 new Xiaomi homes in India, both online and offline.
