Last year was a full screen year. Many manufacturers launched full screen phones, but Sony was an exception. Even so, Sony Xperia XZ1 with large forehead and chin still won the gold medal of iF design this year, and it is the only smartphone that won the gold medal.

In fact, when talking about the iF design award, many manufacturers may advertise that their products have won the iF product design award, but there are differences IF Design Award And IF Design Gold Award. In 2013, for example, 981 people won the iF product design award, but only 20 people won the iF product design gold award. The gold content of the gold award is much higher than the ordinary iF design award.

Note: iF Design Award is held regularly every year by Hanover Industrial Forum Design, the oldest industrial design organization in Germany. The IF International Design Forum in Germany annually selects the iF Design Award, which is famous for its "independent, rigorous and reliable" award concept.
