Parameter configuration
In terms of parameters, Red Rice Note 5 sank Red Rice 5 Plus, Magic Blue S6 and Magic Blue Note 6 in turn. For the same version of 3+32, if you add 100 yuan, Hongmi Note 5 can provide better screen, SoC of completely different levels, better GPU performance and photographic performance. The price difference of 100 yuan can be said to be a big profit (the parameters of Hongmi Note 5 screen and Hongmi 5 Plus are the same). The large core and small core are Qualcomm's semi autonomous architectures based on A73 and A53 respectively. Qualcomm uses the same name for two different architectures on the same SoC, which is quite confusing.
Snapdragon 636 is jokingly called the reduced frequency youth version of Snapdragon 660. It maintains the same Hexagon 680 DSP and X12 LTE baseband (both are the original Snapdragon 820/821). It supports Bluetooth 5, but the dual channel LPDDR4 frequency is only 1333MHz (Snapdragon 660 is 1866MHz). In terms of configuration balance, Snapdragon 636 is the best Samsung Exynos 7872 (the one on Magic Blue S6 has a gap in GPU, baseband and DSP). As long as the supply price and quantity are not unfair, Snapdragon 636 is likely to take over the name of "God U" from Snapdragon 625 civilians.
The system of Hongmi Note 5 is MIUI 9.5 stable version, and the bottom layer goes directly to Android 8.1. Full screen gestures with face recognition and MIUI (sliding the global left and right borders inward means returning, scrolling up to the home page, scrolling up and stopping to trigger the task management interface).
The press conference focused on the front of Red Rice Note 5 and AI photography, claiming that the portrait mode has added machine learning algorithm, which can beautify skin in different areas and support "AI cosmetic" algorithms such as intelligent nose augmentation. However, it is a pity that only 5V2A is available for the official configuration. If the user wants to make a quick charge, he must purchase an additional quick charge.

In the simple photo proof test, the Hongmi Note 5 has the advantage of big bottom, its imaging level is better than that of the previous Hongmi and most Xiaomi models, and its tolerance is completely OK. In addition, full pixel dual core focusing can avoid the problem that the weak light scene before Xiaomi can not focus, and the focusing speed and success rate have made a qualitative leap.
