LG's previous models, such as LG G4, V10, V20, Nexus 5X, and G5, all had the problem of unlimited restart. American consumers could not bear it and initiated a class action lawsuit. Now LG has reached a settlement with consumers involved in the lawsuit, providing two compensation schemes for users to choose from.


The first is to provide a $700 shopping scroll, which can be used by consumers to purchase LG's smart phones for replacement. For example, the latest flagship V30 has not yet received the same infinite restart problem as before; Second, the direct compensation of $425 in cash seems more attractive than the first scheme. Of course, consumers can also choose to use the shopping scroll provided by LG to buy V30, and then sell it out. The income obtained is slightly higher than $425.


As for users who did not participate in the lawsuit, LG also provided a special appeal page to apply for relevant compensation for users. There are two options: a $200 shopping scroll or a $100 cash payment, which only needs to be applied before February 12, 2018. Maybe because there are too many users applying for compensation, the compensation application page is temporarily closed. I wonder if LG will reopen it later.
