Looking back in 2017, the key word in the smartphone market is believed to be "full screen". From the release of G6 and Galaxy S8 by LG and Samsung in the first half of the year to the update of Apple's iPhone X and a large number of models by domestic manufacturers in the second half of the year, the wave of "full screen" has continued to become a very important selling point of smartphones. Following this wave, this time let the popular flagship of domestic manufacturers have a PK.
Full screen or picture screen
As the first to use the word "full screen", Xiaomi shocked us when it came to the MIX concept machine, and released the sequel Xiaomi MIX 2 on September 11, 2017. Different from the concept positioning of the first generation MIX, the Xiaomi MIX 2 is a very mature mass production machine: the 18:9 5.99 inch screen is replaced, the overall frame is thickened (ordinary version), and the earphone free design is changed to a catheter earphone. Although Xiaomi MIX 2 does not have the original amazing feeling of a generation of MIX, its mature design and good workmanship are still worthy of being the star flagship product of Xiaomi brand.
One plus 5T, its full screen model, was introduced in China on November 28, 2017. It is similar to the one plus 3T in that year. One plus 5T is a small upgrade based on one plus 5. The biggest change is the addition of full screen. In order to adapt to the face with great changes, fingerprint recognition is also moved to the back, which is also the first non front fingerprint recognition machine. However, one plus 5T all metal body, full screen, dual camera and other design elements have long been popular in other manufacturers, so the characteristics are relatively not very distinctive.
Another manufacturer Glory chose Glory V10, its full screen flagship launched on the same day as OnePlus. Unlike other full screen machines that have adopted post fingerprint recognition, Glory V10 still insists on pre fingerprint recognition after using the 18:9 full screen, which is one of the few models in the market. Compared with the front, the back of the Glory V10 is much more common: the U-shaped antenna, the metal body, and the rear dual camera are all common elements, and because of the thickness control of the whole machine, the camera bulges more obviously.
Compared with the other three companies, Meizu was very independent in 2017, not only did it not follow the trend of full screen, but also launched its own picture screen. The front of PRO 7 is the Meizu front face that we are very familiar with, and the back has a screen design integrated with dual photography. Let's not mention the beauty or functionality of this design, at least in 2017, Meizu PRO 7 is a new and innovative model. As for the choice between full screen and picture screen, it is naturally left to the consumers themselves to judge. After all, each has his own preference.
OLED or LCD
In addition to the trend of full screen, the current smart phones on the screen are also gradually developing towards OLED screens. In this comparison, OLED and LCD of the four machines are evenly divided: Xiaomi MIX 2 and Glory V10 use LCD, Meizu PRO 7 and One Plus 5T are OLEDs.
resolving power: Among the four machines, except Meizu PRO 7, which is the standard FHD (the highest PPI), the other three are FHD+. However, the AMOLED provided by Samsung adopts the diamond array, which is commonly known as the P array. Therefore, Xiaomi MIX 2 and Glory V10, which use LCD in fineness, have slight advantages;
Color gamut and color temperature: The results measured by the test software show that the color gamut of Xiaomi MIX 2, One Plus 5T and Glory V10 all cover more than 100% of sRGB, so the popular DCI-P3 is used for labeling in the table, Meizu PRO 7 is inferior, with only 92.7% of sRGB; The color temperature of the four machines in the default mode exceeds 7000K, which should be to adapt to the habit of domestic users who like cold screen;
Color accuracy: Under the default mode of Xiaomi MIX2, Glory V10 and Meizu PRO 7, the average DeltaE is controlled within 4, which is acceptable; The 5.3 of One Plus 5T is slightly higher, but it provides the most display modes among the four. In particular, the average DeltaE of sRGB and DCI-P3 modes in the corresponding color gamut is only 1.8 and 1.6, which is very accurate. Users with color needs can choose the corresponding display mode by themselves;
Brightness: In terms of brightness, it can only be said that LCD has obvious advantages over OLED. The manual maximum brightness of Xiaomi MIX 2 and Glory V10 both exceed 400 nits. One plus 5T and Meizu PRO 7 are stuck at this threshold; However, when switched to automatic adjustment, one 5T can soar to 480 nits, which is close to the peak value of Xiaomi MIX 2. Meizu PRO 7 does not provide the function of automatic brightness improvement.
MediaTek VS Qualcomm VS HiSilicon
In terms of SoC, the four machines present an interesting phenomenon: Meizu, as the foundation of MediaTek, chose the most high-end Helio X30 for the PRO 7. The glory closely related to Huawei is naturally the Kirin 970 of HiSilicon, a sister enterprise. Yijia and Xiaomi, still good partners of Qualcomm, are the improved Snapdragon 835.
In the manufacturing process, the three SoCs are all 10nm processes, the big core is similar to the A73 architecture, the small core is A53, and the X30 has different core configurations. On the main frequency, X30 officially claims to be able to reach the highest 2.6GHz, while Snapdragon 835 and Kirin 970 are about 2.4GHz; On the GPU, both MediaTek and Hisense have made significant improvements. MediaTek rarely uses PowerVR chips. Hisense uses the latest Mali-G71 at that time, and also builds 12 cores. In terms of network support, thanks to the time advantage, Kirin 970 has integrated the baseband that supports LTE Cat.18 download, while Snapdragon 835 is the first global gigabit baseband, and MediaTek is lagging behind; In terms of Bluetooth, both Qualcomm and MediaTek support the new version 5.0 (but PRO 7 only supports Bluetooth version 4.2). HiSilicon regrets that it only supports version 4.2.
In the CPU score test, although MediaTek's X30 should have the best performance in theory in terms of single core, its actual performance is the bottom one. Although there are many cores, there are only two large cores, so it is conceivable that the multi-core performance ranks last. Snapdragon 835 and Kirin 970 are neck and neck, with each other winning or losing in different events.
On the GPU, Snapdragon 835 still has a slight advantage, which has improved to a certain extent on the basis of the previous generation; In contrast, the X30 and Kirin 970 have greatly improved, especially the Kirin 970, which can basically catch up with Adreno 540 of Snapdragon 835 after 12 Mali-G71. It is also beneficial to release the Kirin 970 later; Compared with MediaTek's X30, MediaTek's X30 has improved significantly, but facing its competitors in the same period, the gap is obvious.
It is also worth noting that the reading speed of the X30. The four machines all use UFS flash memory, but the X30 is obviously one level behind in terms of continuous reading. The reason is that the X30 of MediaTek does not support the flash memory of UFS 2.1 Lane2, so the PRO 7 has to be equipped with the 128G flash memory of UFS 2.1 Lane1. This is Meizu's helpless move. Fortunately, the writing has not been greatly affected.
MIUI/Flyme/EMUI/H2OS
On the system, the four machines are equipped with customized firmware, and the Xiaomi MIX 2 is a well-known MIUI; Meizu PRO 7 is our own representative Flyme; Glory V10 is Emotion UI, or EMUI for short; One plus 5T provides hydrogen OS (H2OS) in China.
Among the four home-made customized systems, Glory's pre loaded EMUI 8.0 is customized based on Android 8.0, and the latest firmware security patch has been updated to January. The overall UI and operation logic inherit the style of previous generations. Some details, such as the notice bar, are much more sophisticated than before, but the default style is still somewhat less up-to-date. Users who dislike this can change the main body or install a third-party launcher.
However, PRO 7, which was recently updated to the stable version of Flyme 6 for the Spring Festival, is still the bottom layer of Android 7.0, and the security patch will remain in November. After this update, the daily use fluency of Meizu PRO 7 has indeed improved, and Flyme has retained its original small and fresh style, but is closer to the public aesthetic. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the current Flyme has added local information and selected content to built-in apps such as weather advertisement The function is on by default and needs to be manually closed by the user.
As the flagship of Xiaomi, MIX 2 is pre equipped with nougat as the factory system. It now provides MIUI 9 internal testing firmware based on Oreo. The security patch has been updated to January. At present, the biggest feature of MIX 2's internal testing firmware is the addition of navigation gestures, called full screen gestures in the system, to replace virtual keys and provide a better visual experience. As for navigation gestures and virtual keys, which is better or worse, it depends on the user's usage habits. Although push advertising has slightly converged on MIUI 9, it is still obvious that the only way to completely eliminate it is to buy Xiaomi members.
In the four machine system, the closest thing to native Android is Yijia's hydrogen OS (oxygen OS is provided overseas). In addition to the desktop level menu, most of the hydrogen windows are similar to native Android. Now the official firmware is still based on Android 7.1.1. If you want to try Oreo, you need to manually import the test firmware. The security patch will be updated to December. However, Yijia 5T and Glory V10 were released on the same day. It is a pity that Android 8.0 is not preinstalled on the system.
To sum up, except that Meizu's Flyme does not provide the latest Android 8.0 based system for the time being, the other three companies have already provided corresponding firmware. Glory V10 is directly pre loaded with Oreo, which supports Google's Project Treble by default. Later updates, even without official support, are easier to win the favor of developers, and have the most advantage among the four computers; Although one plus 5T does not pre load the latest 8.0, the number of third-party ROMs should not be less based on the foundation established by the previous models; MIUI 9 takes a step further in terms of speed, and there is basically nothing to be picky about in terms of function, but the title of ADUI is really not covered; In comparison, Flyme, which has neither the latest system nor advertising, has a big disadvantage, and has not been able to add points to Meizu.
Dual camera trend is inevitable
Outside the full screen, the camera of the smartphone is also moving towards the trend of dual camera. Only the Xiaomi MIX 2 is not equipped with dual camera. Unlike the wide-angle+telephoto combination of Apple iPhone and Samsung Note8, the combination of domestic manufacturers on dual camera is more diversified - for example, Meizu adopts 12 million color+12 million black and white combination on PRO 7; Glory is also a combination of color+black and white, but the pixels become 16 million+20 million; One plus 5T is the same as Glory V10 in terms of pixels, but the dual wide-angle configuration is far from the previous generation of one plus 5 wide-angle+telephoto; Xiaomi MIX 2 is not equipped with dual cameras, but the unit pixel area is the same as PRO 7, better than one plus 5T and Glory V10.

Under the condition of sufficient light, this group of samples of SJ Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. presented a more interesting situation: the most accurate white balance was one plus 5T, which better restored the sunset scene when the sun was about to set; Glory V10 highlights the twilight state, but the color temperature of the sample is significantly warmer; Xiaomi MIX 2 is slightly red, which well inherits the tradition; PRO 7 is slightly overexposed, but its overall performance is OK. What is unexpected about the details is that PRO 7 provides more. It seems that one plus 5T and Glory V10 do not take the advantage of high pixels.

For another group of samples, the sky taken by Yijia 5T and Xiaomi MIX 2 has different degrees of whitening, PRO 7 and V10 have good performance, and the details are sharp, and the overall quality has a certain distance. What's even more surprising is that in this scenario, the details of one plus 5T are even slightly inferior to that of Xiaomi MIX 2, which may be related to its algorithm and does not play its due role.

Switch to the indoor scene, and the white balance of Xiaomi MIX 2 is the most accurate in this scene. When you add 5T, it turns green, and PRO 7 and Glory V10 turn blue. After zooming in, it is no surprise that one plus 5T and Glory V10 are slightly better by virtue of high pixels, and Xiaomi MIX 2 is not much behind. However, PRO 7, who performs well in front, blurs the words "Blue Cafe and Green Cafe" next door for some reason. This is an automatic virtualization operation?

In another set of scenes, the sample of Glory V10 is a little over exposed, and the other three machines are relatively normal. In terms of details, 5T is a little better, but it is not far from other machines. In terms of white balance, Meizu PRO 7 is more accurate.

By comparing the night samples, it is obvious that the Xiaomi MIX 2 is not on the same horizontal line with other machines, which is the worst performance. In terms of glare control, Meizu PRO 7 and Glory V10 are better, but there are some spillovers at the edges, and one plus 5T spillovers are obvious; In terms of white balance, the glory V10 is the best, and the overall impression of the sample is also the best among the four machines. The details of PRO 7 and One Plus 5T outside the focus center are slightly lost.

In the common nighttime environment, the white balance of Xiaomi MIX 2 drifts seriously, the pink petals have become purple, Glory V10 is the most accurate, one plus 5T is slightly blue, and Meizu PRO 7 is slightly green. In terms of details, there is basically no difference between the four cameras, but the Meizu PRO 7 also has a fuzzy phenomenon outside the focus center, which has a certain impact on the appearance.

In the weak light environment, everyone's performance is far from good. Although the four cameras have improved the brightness of the picture to varying degrees, one plus 5T enhances the brightness by combining four pixels to make the proof feel most natural; The exposure of Xiaomi MIX 2 is quite excessive, just to capture the object in focus; Meizu PRO 7 and Glory V10 are relatively restrained, while Glory V10 is slightly better.
After 100% magnification, although the noise of Xiaomi MIX 2 is obvious and the exposure is not accurate, the text and the surrounding grass are the most detailed; One plus 5T looks rough due to the use of multiple pixel synthesis, but the text part can be recognized; V10 is the most balanced in all aspects, with clear slogans and footholds; PRO 7 does not perform well in the footnotes and is not very satisfactory in details.
One plus 5T (upper left), MIX 2 (upper right), PRO 7 (lower left), V10 (lower right)
In another group of weak light samples, Siji presented a very different performance: Xiaomi MIX 2 routinely overexposed, and the white balance shifted seriously; One plus 5T depends on multi pixel synthesis to increase the brightness, and the details are also good; Meizu PRO 7 most restores the light environment at that time, but the darker picture brightness and rough details are not pleasing; The details of Glory V10 are not the most outstanding, and the brightness is not the highest, but the overall appearance is the most comfortable.
In general, Xiaomi MIX 2 is not surprised to lag behind the other three in photographing, but it can capture many details of the night scene through forced overexposure; Glory V10 has the most stable performance. It has satisfactory performance no matter what the scene is, but it is not very strong in any aspect in a single round; Meizu PRO 7 performs very well in some scenes, and can restore the real situation very well, but the proof is not necessarily pleasing, and the occasional "automatic falsification" is also a bit baffling; The level of one plus 5T is not bad. In addition to occasional white balance errors, there are basically good proofs. In the weak light environment, some details are sacrificed because of the multi pixel synthesis to improve the brightness, but it looks good against the background of peers.
Is it enough for one day
The battery capacity of the four machines is more than 3000mAh, of which the Meizu PRO 7 is the smallest, so the battery is inevitably limited, just 3000mAh; Then one plus 5T, only 300mAh is increased to 3300mAh; Xiaomi MIX 2 is half as good as one plus 5T, and the built-in is 3400mAh; The biggest one is Glory V10, which goes to 3750mAh and has obvious advantages.
In addition to one plus 5T anti super millet MIX 2, the results of endurance test are basically consistent with the ranking of battery size, which may be the advantage of AMOLED screen (laugh). In the endurance, it is worth mentioning that after Meizu PRO 7 updated its firmware, the power consumption control of the firmware has been optimized compared with the earlier firmware, and each project has improved to a certain extent. However, such an extent is not enough for the X30 to surpass the Snapdragon 835 and Kirin 970.
In actual use, even if the background is not involved, as the author does, as long as it is not open a bunch of push chat software or crazy play large games, four machines can basically meet the use of a day. It is well known that the Snapdragon 835 is optimized for endurance, and the Kirin 970 has also kept a stable performance. Surprisingly, the MediaTek X30 has at least not overturned this time, which has made great progress compared with the X25 with full slots of the previous generation.
tail
With the processors upgraded every year, manufacturers have also introduced new ones. However, with the performance improvement becoming less attractive, full screen and dual camera have become the gimmicks of new computers. In this situation, Meizu has to say that it is quite brave to launch the screen with PRO 7, but it is somewhat different for different reasons. At the same time, it is still dragged back by MediaTek, which shows its market performance from 3380 to 2399; Another slightly different glory V10 has caught up with the Snapdragon 835 in terms of performance with the Kirin 970 released half a year later. The camera, system and screen are commendable. It is the most stable and moderate one among the four computers; Xiaomi MIX 2 and One Plus 5T, both of which belong to the Snapdragon camp, have their own advantages: although the MIX 2 is not as amazing as the first generation, it still has its unique appearance design and screen performance, but ADUI and photography may persuade some people away; One plus 5T continues to focus on performance. The original system can attract some people. Refueling can be said to be more "feverish" than rice noodles before.
The market is accompanied by inflation and competition from friends. Now the flagship model of domestic manufacturers has changed from the 1999 price to the 3000 gear. Look at the thin wallet, not to mention the machines of international major manufacturers, even the flagship model of domestic manufacturers seems to be unaffordable
