Recently, Counterpoint Research released the 2017 Q3 SoC market share report. According to the report, the SoC shares of Qualcomm and Apple have not changed much. Qualcomm still accounts for 42% of the majority of the SoC market, which is 1% more than that of last year, with a year-on-year growth of 2.5%; The second place was Apple, which was 20%, 1% less than that of last year, and 4.7% less than that of last year;
MediaTek's data market share was 4% lower than that of last year, down 22.2% year on year;
Samsung increased its share by 3% year on year, 37.5% year on year;
Huawei HiSilicon increased its share by 2% year on year, up 33.3% year on year.
Among these companies, although the market share of Huawei HiSilicon has only increased by 2% in total, the original market share base of Huawei HiSilicon is very small, but this 2% has increased by 33.3%. In addition, considering that most of the shipment achievements of Huawei HiSilicon processors come from Huawei/Glory smart phones, this also reflects the sales growth of Huawei/Glory mobile phones. On the contrary, MediaTek, under the continuous suppression of Qualcomm, even Meizu, which has been strong in MediaTek for a long time, has defected to Qualcomm. MediaTek's market share has also fallen the most among these companies.
