According to China Eastern Airlines, passengers of China Eastern Airlines can use mobile phones (smart phones) with flight mode and portable computers or tablet computers, e-books, video/audio players, video game consoles and other small PED devices within the specified size during the whole flight of China Eastern Airlines. However, the aircraft mode must be turned on and the cellular data mobile communication function must be turned off. If there is no small PED device in flight mode, it is still disabled in the air. In addition, portable computers, PADs and other large PED equipment exceeding the specified size can only be used in the cruise phase of the aircraft, and are forbidden to be used in the critical flight stages such as taxiing, takeoff, descent and landing of the aircraft. It is worth noting that although China Eastern Airlines can play with mobile phones in flight, if the flight crew finds that there is electronic interference and suspects that the electronic interference is from the electronic equipment used by the personnel on the flight, the flight crew has the right to request to turn off these portable electronic devices.
