In August 2017, Intel released the eighth generation of Core processors, which defined the Y, U, H and S series:
The Y series is for networked PCs and fanless, detachable light machines;
The U series is for light notebook, deformation notebook, mini PC, 2-in-1 notebook;
H series performance oriented notebook and mobile workstation;
The S series is desktop oriented.
The H series was previously used in high-performance notebooks, but this year, the H series has integrated AMD Vega core display products, which will be connected through the embedded multi die interconnect bridge (EMIB) Connect AMD's Vega GPU and HBM2 video memory, and use six PCIe 3.0 channels to connect, so that the Coffee Lake-H CPU and AMD Vega GPU can be integrated on one substrate, which can greatly save volume. The series now includes i5-8305G, i7-8705G, i7-8706G, i7-8709G and i7-8809G, with a total of five products, all of which have the suffix G.

On January 8, Intel officially released the first i7-8705G and i7-8809G NUC hosts. The TDP of i7-8705G is 65W, and the integrated core display is AMD Redon RX Vega M GL (The name of AMD graphics card is really long) , frequency 931MHz; The TDP of i7-8809G is 100W, and the core display frequency of Radeon RX Vega M GH is 1063MHz.
They integrate Vega M integrated display, up to 24 groups of CU units, 1536 stream processors (between RX 560 and RX 570), 1024bit bit width, 16 raster units, and 4GB HBM2 video memory. It still retains Intel's UHD core display and supports up to 9 screens of output (Vega M handles 6, and Inte UHD handles 3). The performance of the two previously announced integrated display models, RX Vega M GL in i7-8705G, has exceeded the mobile version GTX 1050 by 40%, and the i7-8809G Vega M GH, has exceeded the GTX 1060 MaxQ by 13%. Such performance data can already eat chicken smoothly on 1080P resolution.
Intel's NUC also supports virtual reality devices such as Windows mixed reality (MR), HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift. It provides front and rear dual HDMI 2.0a, two Thunderbolt 3, five USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Gen 2, and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and supports up to nine display outputs. The new opportunity will be launched in the spring this year, and the price will be 799 and 999 dollars (about 5200 and 6500 yuan). Considering the size, power and performance of the machine, the cost performance ratio is unexpectedly high.
