On December 20, 2017, Lenovo held the Harbin Summit of Lenovo Innovation and Technology Conference with the theme of "Connection · Imagination" in Harbin - Lenovo Smart Ecological New Product Launch. Lenovo demonstrated Lenovo's smart IoT ecological layout on the spot, and released the Star Wars themed AR helmet product - Lenovo Mirage AR Smart Helmet Set jointly created with Disney. In fact, Lenovo Mirage is not the first time to appear. This product was first released globally on IFA this year, and this time Lenovo officially released the national version of the AR helmet.

Lenovo Mirage AR helmet is not a mainframe AR, nor an AR all-in-one machine, but an AR mode driven by a smart phone (a mobile phone needs to be inserted as the main body). Lenovo Mirage AR helmet set consists of three parts: AR helmet, lightsaber controller and tracking beacon.

AR helmet : The shape of Lenovo Mirage helmet is not very different from the VR helmet on the market. Due to the off-axis optical design, Lenovo Mirage helmet has a small protruding distance, the front area of the helmet is simple and beautiful, and the naked weight of the helmet is 470g. Lenovo Mirage is equipped with a camera for AR spatial positioning on both the left and right sides.

Lightsaber controller : The lightsaber controller is manufactured according to the 1:1 prototype of the lightsaber controller in Star Wars. The overall shape, key position and size are consistent with the lightsaber controller in Star Wars movies. The lightsaber controller itself is equipped with touch buttons, tactile feedback and built-in inertial measurement unit. If we can understand it from the perspective of the second dimension, we can think of it as an "AR wireless remote controller".

Tracking beacon : It is used for space position tracking, and is placed on the ground 1~3m away from the wearer when using it. Two fish eye sensors are built in the beacon to provide position tracking from inside to outside, improving the accuracy and stability of spatial positioning of the whole equipment.

Lenovo Mirage is a Star Wars themed AR helmet jointly created by Lenovo and Disney, and it is also the first AR helmet to obtain the genuine license of Star Wars IP. The Star Wars: Jedi Challenge game it supports includes three Star Wars games: lightsaber war, strategic battle, and holographic chess, of which the most classic is lightsaber war. Through AR helmet and lightsaber controller, it conducts lightsaber war with the virtual black samurai in the game in the real scene.

At present, Lenovo Mirage AR helmet sets have been sold on Lenovo Mall, JD, Lenovo 4S stores, Disney, Toys R Us and other platforms, with an official price of 1999 yuan.
