2017 is a year of full screen, and HTC announced in early November that it has entered the ranks of high screen proportion, and released the latest flagship U11+. What is the upgrade and change of this new mobile phone compared with U11? Come and see:
U11+is not so much an enhanced version of U11 as a derivative of U11, because they are highly consistent in configuration. In particular, U11 has a high configuration version of 6G+128G, and the overall configuration is closer to U11+. The biggest feature of U11+is undoubtedly the 6-inch 18:9 screen.
This "full screen" has a resolution of 2880 * 1440 (that is, a ratio of 2:1, which is easy to understand), a PPI of 537, and a sub-pixel arrangement of RGB. The screen definition is at the top level in current flagship computers. In addition, the screen also supports HDR10 and DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The screen panel is Super LCD6 from JDI.
Because there is no front Home key, U11+uses a virtual key. In particular, U11+'s virtual key is divided into two pages, which can be switched by sliding left and right. Users can customize the function of the virtual key or hide it manually. The experience is good.
Compared with U11's 5.5 inch QHD (2560 * 1440) screen, although there is no big difference in definition, the higher screen proportion and larger screen still give us a stronger visual shock. Due to the pursuit of screen proportion, the front fingerprint identification has been transferred to the back of the fuselage.
The U11+rear cover still uses HTC's unique skill - 3D ripple glass. However, the radian of the U11 glass should be much smaller, and the alignment should be flat. The fingerprint recognition is under the camera. What we got is "extreme mirror black", which is a little dark green compared with U11.
The rear camera, like the U11, is UltraPixel Generation 3, which supports UltraSpeed (actually Dual Pixel) focusing, with OIS and F1.7 aperture. The sensor is Sony IMX362. There is a double LED fill light on the left side of the sensor and a hole for noise reducing microphone on the right side.
Compared with U11+, U11+is obviously more rounded, and the back cover is a whole piece of curved glass, which looks more pompous, while U11+has a more calm style.
Both U11 and U11+adopt aluminum alloy middle frame, and the surface adopts sandblasting technology. The middle frame of U11 has a large radian, while U11+is much smoother, which also leads to a 1mm difference in the width of the fuselage between the two. Holding U11+will be more leisurely.
The design of the top of the fuselage is also very similar. The layout of the antenna partition strip, noise reduction microphone and card slot is very similar. However, due to the different handling of the middle frame, it gives a very different feeling. U11+has obvious trimming at the middle frame, but it does not have highlight treatment, which will be more integrated than the highlight edge of "rotten street".
The layout of the left and right sides of the fuselage is also very similar. The only difference is the anti-skid texture of the power key.
Accessories are no different from U11. It supports QC3.0 power adapter, Type-C interface earphone, USB Type-C data cable, and a Type-C to 3.5mm adapter cable with Codec (which is also a popular accessory for many players, and is called the redemption of Type-C interface phone sound quality).
More detailed evaluation and data on HTC U11+will be introduced in the subsequent evaluation. Please wait.
