Double DAC blessing Astell&Kern AK70 MKII picture appreciation

After its launch, the AK70 has been loved by many players because of its compact and fashionable appearance. Astell&Kern also launched a new generation of dual DAC product, AK70 MKII, in September.

Because the AK70 MKII is very compact, the package is also small, and the design of the package is very brief.

Open the package to see the AK70 MKII. There is a transparent protective film outside the machine.

The accessories are relatively simple, including a microUSB cable, manual and warranty card, front and back film and a microSD dust cover.

The fuselage is still the standard AK style. We got the black fuselage, officially named "Noir Black".

The screen is a 3.31 inch 480 * 800 TFT screen. As a "large screen" player, it certainly supports touch screen. Fortunately, the official also provides high-definition film.

The AK70 MKII continues the appearance design of the AK70. The dark body makes the volume knob look more mysterious and technological. This knob has also become the biggest design highlight of the entire product.

The back is also a glass panel, and the back of the black body is dark blue with grid lines. I believe that male users will prefer this color scheme.

The buttons are concentrated on the left side of the fuselage, and there is also a microSD card slot. The fuselage has a 64G capacity, plus 256G expansion, which most users believe is enough.

There is a 3.5mm single ended headphone interface, a 2.5mm balanced headphone interface, a power button and a balanced interface on the top of the machine body, which have become the standard configuration of AK series products.

There is nothing special at the bottom. It has a microUSB interface, which can be used as a turntable or USB DAC in addition to data transmission.

The lines on the right side of the fuselage are irregular, which looks very distinctive.

The AK70 and AK70 MKII are not very different from each other from the front, and they are in the same line of design.

The texture of the volume knob has changed a lot, from a point like AK70 to a curve, which will look more refined.

From the side of the fuselage, there is a clear difference in thickness between the two aircraft.

In terms of configuration, the AK70 MKII uses dual CS4398 (AK70 is a single CS4398) as the DAC, with a single end output of 2.0Vrms and a balanced output of 4.0Vrms (AK70 single end and balanced are both 2.3Vrms). It can be seen that the output capacity of the balanced end has been significantly improved.
