On September 1, the 2017 USB PD Fast Charging Industry Asia Summit Forum was held in Shenzhen Nanshan Kexing Science Park, and about 1600 people attended the Summit Forum. USB PD fast charging is the main discussion content of this summit. This summit forum invited USB PD technology experts and senior practitioners to analyze and explain USB PD fast charging technology in all aspects.

What is a USB PD? Like Qualcomm QC3.0, which is familiar to ordinary consumers, it is a fast charging protocol. It is considered to be the most promising technology specification for unified fast charging. USB PDs are currently widely used in Apple's new MacBook series notebooks, Xiaomi notebooks, and flagship phones of many brands on the market. It is reported that the upcoming iPhone 8 will support USB PD fast charging.

Qiu Hongzhi, the new business development manager of Weifeng Electronics, made the first speech for everyone, explaining USB PD and PPS related technologies from the perspective of core practitioners.

Peng Feng, Deputy Marketing Director of Shenzhen Yingjixin Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech "Yingjixin PD Integrated Solution" for us. Yingjixin has been authorized by many mobile phone fast charging agreements and is the most complete and leading chip manufacturer with fast charging authorization. Huang Cui, Technical Director of Power Supply Business Department of Shenzhen Ruijun Semiconductor Co., Ltd., gave us a keynote speech "Application of Ruihips MOSFETs in USB PDs", introducing the characteristics of Ruijun's new process MOSFETs and their application in the field of fast charging.

Huang Yonghua, CEO of Youwei Technology, gave us a keynote speech, "Youwei Technology Helps USB PD Fast Charging", analyzed USB PD from its characteristics, architecture, application scenarios, product roadmap and other aspects, and demonstrated its self-developed chips and brought various charging equipment related PD fast charging solutions. And the company is also one of the few domestic design teams that has mastered USB PD chip level research and development.

Finally, Lai Junheng, General Manager of Baijiatai Greater China, gave us a keynote speech "USB PD Testing and Compatibility Process Explanation". Baijiatai is a large testing institution certified by the USB-IF Association. Has brought USB Type-C introduction, connector risks, compatibility issues sharing and other aspects were carried out.
