However, my impression of Xiaoyi Technology has always remained at the level of smart cameras. Xiaoyi Technology has been established on its own for more than a year, but the new product I never expected will involve intelligent travel, so I am the same as everyone else, I was curious about this little ant rearview mirror (pilot version).

Shape

The packaging design adopts the traditional simple style, white tone, product drawing, familiar little ant logo, and side function selling point display. Although the design sense is not prominent, users can further understand the product itself through the packaging, and prefer European and American packaging style rather than cool design, so as to package themselves very tall.  

When the package is opened, it is basically the same as the picture. The size of the standard rear-view mirror is closely inlaid in it. The white sponge protection around the screen guarantees the large display screen in an all-round way. The 6.86-inch screen is basically the same size as the rear-view mirror, which can be completely replaced. In addition, the many functions learned on the package can be far more effective than an ordinary rear-view mirror.

  The first layer is the rear-view mirror host, and the bottom layer is a variety of accessories. It is not difficult to see the holes in the cardboard of the partition. Xiaoyi Technology has always paid attention to details, and it is not difficult to understand why it can become bigger and stronger all the way.

In addition to the rearview mirror, the standard components include the car charger X1, GPS antenna X1, strap X2, instruction manual X1, as well as the manufacturer's intimate SIM card and TF memory card.

Xiaoyi intelligent rearview mirror pilot version adopts 6.86 inch IPS full touch display screen, with clear picture, supporting 1280X480 high-resolution image output, 315.2mm long and 81.8mm high. When the product is just received, the surface is still covered with film for protection. Whether the protective film is torn depends on personal choice, and whether it is covered will not affect the control of the touch screen.  

In terms of thickness, the lens is only 24.7mm without calculation, and 35.8mm without calculation. Although it is not too thin, considering the heat dissipation and performance of the machine, it is not too thick, and the overall weight is about 420g.  

The 2 megapixel 140 ° wide-angle lens can slightly adjust the angle and has a wider coverage, basically covering three lanes. Generally, the author is more concerned about whether the wide-angle lens is distorted, and will experience with you later; At the same time, it supports 1080P high-definition video output, and 30 frame video recording basically meets the demand for driving records during general driving.  

Both the power interface and the GPS antenna interface are designed on the top, which is conducive to wiring and routing. The bayonet design on both sides also uses rubber with good flexibility, which can fix the product well while reducing the vibration of road bumps. Of course, there is also the SIM card slot, TF card slot, video input interface, slightly compact distribution, but concentrated in one place, wire can be unified storage, the overall design is relatively realistic.  

The bottom is relatively simple. The microphone, the device switch button, and the regularly distributed cooling holes on the back are also very practical. The author can really feel the device heating in Android, but it is within the normal acceptance range. In addition, when the air conditioner in the car is turned on, there are not many problems.

Since the power interface is a rare cigarette lighter interface and there is only one interface in the car, it is not very convenient to use it for basic charging in the car. It is recommended that the manufacturer can change it to a USB interface so that it will not occupy too many other places.  

The GPS antenna is equipped with one meter and five meters long wires, which can be placed in a suitable position after installation in the vehicle. The other side is mainly 3M glue, so you must be careful in selecting the position.

[Installation and commissioning]  

Although the installation and debugging is actually very simple, put the bandage on, and then stretch and fix it directly at the bayonet position. The operation of the bayonets at both ends is the same. What should be noted is the wiring problem and the angle of the rear-view mirror. However, the angle adjustment directly hanging on the rear-view mirror is relatively simple.  

After installation, we can basically understand that the main functions are the dash cam, music playing, navigation, and of course, there are many other functions. The style of the page is simple but not simple.  

The DASH CAM automatically starts recording in full screen firing mode. The picture quality is clearer in full screen mode. The 1280 * 480 large screen display can clearly see the wide angle, and the picture will be slightly distorted in full screen display. However, under direct strong light, the license plate number and the interior condition of the car at 5 meters away from the opposite side can be basically seen. In addition, it supports setting the picture quality display of 1080P or 720P, which is more capable of setting the collision level, Record the video at different levels of the vehicle and save it.

The weather in Shenzhen is not good these days. It is dusty everywhere. The road conditions at about 7 am can basically cover the wide angle of nearly four lanes. Moreover, the general situation can be seen from the perspective, and the basic outline is clear.

At 6:30 in the evening, the street lights had been turned on, and the traffic on the road became a bit congested during the rush hour. In addition to the fact that the front brake light suddenly turned on, it would have a little impact on the video definition, the overall effect was good.

Whether the driving record function of the little ant rearview mirror is strong or not, the author has always used the garage to test it. From the daytime scene when entering the warehouse to the dark environment in the warehouse, there is no sudden darkening of the picture in the middle, and the switching sensitivity is high.  

In addition, both pictures and recorded videos are classified by time, and specific recorded time nodes can be clearly seen when viewing, which is convenient for subsequent browsing.  

Of course, in addition to the driving record function, this little ant rearview mirror can be said to be a magnifying trick. WeChat, music, radio, voice function, navigation function, vehicle WeChat, weather, etc. are all available. The number of functions is amazing.  

The combination of Xiaoant's rearview mirror and APP has once again refreshed the author's concept of these automotive products. The UI design style is similar to Xiaoant's other products, and the style is flat, but slightly fresh.  

The data is presented reasonably, and the driving path is also very clear. In the whole driving process, the speed, peak value, emergency brake, emergency stop and other data are clearly displayed. I like this form of expression very much.  

When I arrived here, I slightly complained that the first flow is not cost-effective, the linkage SIM flow matching the small ant rearview mirror is slightly expensive, the second point is that the warm prompt font on the driving page is ugly to explode, breaking the overall small and fresh pattern, and the third point is the statistics page. Although the top menu bar has three columns, mileage, duration, and speed, the content is the same no matter how you switch.

Summary

The small ant rearview mirror (pilot version) has comprehensive functions, including voice assistant, driving record, navigation function, all kinds of chat, music, and radio. The GPS positioning is clear, and the voice assistant still has problems in homophone recognition. However, the overall author is very satisfied. Compared with the previous single function of the driving recorder, the small ant rearview mirror is absolutely cost-effective.
