On last Friday, the code of the GM version of iOS 11 (the last beta version) was leaked, which contains a lot of information about the new iPhone. For example, this generation of full screen iPhone will be named iPhone X, the initialization interface of Face ID, and some system animations of iOS 11.
Now, some developers have dug into the iOS 11 GM code and found that the A11 Fusion equipped with iPhone X is a 4+2 core processor, of which four large cores are high-performance cores (Mistral core) and two small cores are low-power cores (Monsoon core). These four large cores will be started when dealing with large tasks and larger data processing.
The size core structure of A11 Fusion is somewhat similar to that of A10 Fusion 2+2, but the previous generation of A10 Fusion has only two high-performance cores. Although A11 Fusion has only added two cores, they can both be large cores. If its large core frequency can be maintained at the level close to that of the previous generation, its performance in multitasking will be nearly doubled.
