Stimulated by AMD's new products, Intel finally couldn't hold back. Just after the release of the eighth generation processor, it immediately released the Xeon W series platform. In order to replace the current Xeon E5-1600 series, eight new products including Xeon W-2195 W-2175、W-2155、W-2145、W-2135。 W-2133、W-2125、W-2123, Up to 18 cores/36 threads are provided, and the maximum Remax speed is 4.5GHz, and the power consumption is only 140W, which is significantly higher than that of CORE-X series!
In terms of architecture, Xeon W is exactly the same as Xeon Scalable and Core X series. It needs to use LGA 2066 interface, and all support 4-channel DDR4-2666 memory. It can support up to 512GB of ECC DDR4. Both provide 48 PCI-E 3.0 channels, except for the main frequency/Rui frequency (only Turbo 2.0 is supported).
It is worth noting that, Although Xeon W uses the LGA 2066 interface, it matches the C422 motherboard. At present, it is not sure whether Xeon W can be directly used on the X299 motherboard. (Is this forcing everyone to change the motherboard?)
In terms of price, The lowest end W-2123 sells for as much as $294 (about 1920 yuan), while the flagship W-2195 and W-2175 have not yet announced their prices. The lower end W-2155 sells for as much as $1400 (about 9490 yuan), and the flagship must break through $3000. It is expected to be launched in October this year.
