Screen quality

Xiaomi 5X is equipped with a 1080P 5.5 inch screen, which is not a full screen or curved screen. After inquiry, we learned that the GFF screen provided by our test machine for Tianma. In terms of performance, Xiaomi 5X adheres to the principle that "enough is enough", so the standard configuration is Snapdragon 625+4G RAM+64G ROM (the 816 campaign launched a 4G+32G version). In terms of portal, the advantage is that most apps can be used normally, and the disadvantage is that the identified intelligent search results can't reach a high level of practicality for the time being. Dual camera strength

At the press conference, Mr. Lei repeatedly said that the dual camera of Xiaomi 5X is very similar to that of Xiaomi 6, which is a double 12 million combination of wide-angle+telephoto. The unit pixel area is completely the same, the equivalent focal length is close, the aperture of Xiaomi 5X wide-angle lens is slightly smaller, and the optical anti shake of Xiaomi 6 is missing. In the case of sufficient light, the two performances are quite similar. In this group of samples, Xiaomi 6's white balance is better, and the sharp mark of Xiaomi 5X is more obvious. Especially in the case of double light change, the noise is much more than Xiaomi 6, but it seems more detailed.

In this group of samples, it is uncertain whether the algorithm of MIUI 9 has changed. Xiaomi 5X is much better than Xiaomi 6 in white balance, and Xiaomi 6 appears green at this time. In the case of double light change, it is just the opposite of the previous group of comparison samples. Xiaomi 6 has more noise, and the edge of Xiaomi 5X text is better.

When focusing manually, both backgrounds will be exposed, but Xiaomi 6 is better, and Xiaomi 5X is exaggerated, which is basically a horrible situation.

In most daytime scenes, the performance of Xiaomi 5X and Xiaomi 6 is basically the same, and they have a winner or loser, most of which are differences in white balance. Due to the larger aperture of Xiaomi 6, the ISO of Xiaomi 5X is higher than that of Xiaomi 6 when shooting, and some scenes even reach more than twice.

When switching to the night scene, Xiaomi 6 has many advantages - no matter in details, white balance or exposure control, it is much higher than Xiaomi 5X. Even if the night scene shooting is triggered, the performance of Xiaomi 5X is not so good. The noise and white balance are poorly controlled, and the appearance of the sample needs to be improved.

Just switching the telephoto lens in a weak light environment, the gap between Xiaomi 6 and Xiaomi 5X is not so obvious. In fact, it is better to use a wide-angle lens to shoot directly and then zoom in. It is recommended that you use a wide-angle lens to shoot when the light is insufficient. Xiaomi 6 with optical anti shake will perform better.

It is gratifying to note that under the condition that the light is not particularly bad, the night scene sample of Xiaomi 5X is still passable. Although there is still a certain gap between Xiaomi 5X and Xiaomi 6, compared with the sample above, it can be seen. Of course, it is also recommended not to shoot with twice the light change.

When changing the portrait mode, that is, when taking a virtual picture, the exposure time of Xiaomi 5X will be longer, the noise control and details will be slightly worse than Xiaomi 6, and the difference between Xiaomi 6 and Xiaomi 5X is not big without magnification. Moreover, after identifying the main body, the background painting will be more "heavy handed".

It should be noted that Xiaomi 5X is often easily overexposed in portrait mode, and sometimes the smearing marks are quite obvious. It is easy to reveal the details when it is magnified a little. Its usability is worse than Xiaomi 6. However, Xiaomi 5X is better than Xiaomi 6 in the recognition of shooting subject and background. If we can combine the recognition of Xiaomi 5X with the processing of Xiaomi 6, we believe that the effect will be better. We can look forward to the performance of Xiaomi 6 after updating MIUI 9.

In general, the actual performance of Xiaomi's ability to promote 5X and take photos similar to Xiaomi 6 is expected, and it can be compared with Xiaomi 6 in the daytime, but at night it is directly opened because of the hardware gap. The Snapdragon 625, which is famous for its power consumption, and the 3080mAh battery of Xiaomi 5X, will not have poor endurance.
