On July 26, Xiaomi held a new product launch conference in Beijing, officially releasing its new mobile phone product, Xiaomi 5X, which was endorsed by popular idol Wu Yifan and featured double portraits. Its market positioning may be slightly different from the current main line products of Xiaomi, which may be the main offline market.



The machine adopts a 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 1080P, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB operating memory, 64GB built-in storage, and 3080mAh lithium ion battery.


However, it is worth mentioning that Xiaomi claims that the 5X and Xiaomi 6 adopt a similar dual camera scheme, with a dual 12 megapixel camera, lens and flash layout similar to the design of Xiaomi 6, and support 2x optical zoom. The lens protrudes slightly from the body, focusing on dual portrait shooting, but the sensor is different from Xiaomi 6. The wide-angle camera and the telephoto camera both use OV sensors.


In terms of fuselage design, it is rather similar to the Red Rice Note series, which uses the traditional three touch keys. The fingerprint identification is located at the back of the fuselage, and the opening design of the fingerprint identification module is quite similar to the Red Rice series.


In terms of price, there is only one version of the machine, namely 4GB+64GB, and the price is 1499 yuan.


In addition to Xiaomi 5X, Xiaomi also launched Xiaomi AI speaker "Xiaoai" at this press conference, which is officially declared as "AI supporting learning". Its positioning is somewhat similar to that of Google Home and Amazon Echo, which can be both a smart speaker and a control center of smart home. The price is more conscientious. The official price is 299 yuan. In August, a public beta adoption plan will be launched in January.
