Snapdragon 450 is the first product at this level to use the 14nm FinFET process, which will meet the needs of mid tier smart phones and tablets. Compared with the previous generation Snapdragon 435 mobile platform, this platform aims to achieve significant improvements in battery life, graphics and computing performance, imaging and LTE connectivity.

Compared with the previous generation of products, Snapdragon 450 mobile platform focuses on improving the following four key features:

Enhanced CPU and GPU: The higher performance eight core ARM Cortex A53 CPU can improve the computing performance by 25%. In addition, compared with Snapdragon 435, the integrated Qualcomm ® Adreno The 506 GPU can achieve 25% graphics performance improvement.

Battery life: Thanks to the improvement of power management, compared with the Snapdragon 435, its use time can be extended by up to 4 hours, and the power consumption can be reduced by up to 30% in the game, helping consumers to stay connected and work efficiently for a longer time. Snapdragon 450 also integrates Qualcomm ® Quick Charge 3.0. It takes about 35 minutes to charge an ordinary mobile phone from zero to 80%.

Camera and multimedia: Snapdragon 450 supports real-time background virtualization for the first time in the 400 series. It has also made a number of improvements based on previous generation products, including support for enhanced 13+13 million pixel dual cameras, or up to 21 million pixel single cameras; Hybrid autofocus; And 1080p video capture and playback up to 60fps, which can realize slow motion capture.
