There is a 5.15-inch 1080P screen on the front of Glory 9. Officially, it supports the DCI-P3 digital cinema standard. According to the promotional materials, the Home button is made of ceramic, not common glass or plastic.

In appearance, Glory 9 inherits the double-sided glass design of the previous generation of product Glory 8. The front is covered with 2.5D glass, and the back is upgraded to 3D curved aurora glass made by 15 layers of technology. Similar to Glory 8, the back will show different luster in different light, which is very bright (in physical sense). At the same time, because of the upgraded curved surface radian, the grip feeling is improved compared with Glory 8.

The conventional metal middle frame design has a SIM card slot on the left side and a volume key+power key on the right side. The transition gap between the glass and the middle frame is even, and the keys feel good. There is no problem with the workmanship of the on-site machines.

Noise reducing microphone and infrared transmitter are arranged on the top, which is also a detail mentioned in the press conference: Glory 9 does not cancel the infrared function and 3.5mm headphone hole, to ensure the convenience of users.

There are speakers, USB Type-C interface and 3.5mm headphone interface at the bottom. To ensure the signal, there is also a familiar injection antenna on the metal frame.

Glory 9 provided four colors this time: Seagull Grey, Charming Sea Blue, Fantastic Night Black and Amber Gold. The official name of "Grandma Grey" created with the spokesperson Hu Ge before the press conference was Seagull Grey.

The most special color of Glory 9 must be seagull gray. Although the official name is gray, it actually looks more like silver. Compared with the Samsung S7/S7 edge, it is much more low-key, and also has no obvious mirror effect like Sony XZ Premium. However, it is glass after all, and the ability of Glory 9 fingerprint collector should not be underestimated.

In terms of the system, Glory 9 is equipped with EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0. The model is STF-AL10. The Android security patch has been updated to May. The kernel version is also the latest compilation. The machines on display are all 6G+128G versions. The hardware is similar to Huawei Mate 9/P10, and the actual experience is almost the same. Of course, it is called the honor created by young people. The theme still hopes to be changed. The current theme is not really suitable for young people.

The processor part of Glory 9 uses HiSilicon's current flagship Kirin 960. We have seen this SoC in many models of Huawei and Glory, and its strength has been proven. Due to limited time, only 3/4 runs of GeekBench were tested, and the scores were 2158/7386 and 1865/6519, respectively. Compared with other Kirin 960 machines that we like to test on computers, the single core scores were slightly weaker and the multi-core scores were slightly higher. It is worth noting that Glory 9 will automatically crash and fail to complete the GPU test of GeekBench 4 when running the GPU test, and the CPU test has also experienced two similar situations.

As for the flash memory that everyone cares about, it was not mentioned in the press conference. It was determined that eMMC 5.1 flash memory chip was used by inputting commands to the field machine through the Android simulator. Since the field is equipped with the top model, this time the eMMC should be used in the whole system, so there is no need to worry about memory mixing.

Glory 9 is the first model of Glory series to use 20 million+12 million dual camera configuration. This combination has appeared on Huawei Mate 9 and P10 before, and it is finally lowered to Glory.
