In March 2017, LeEco announced that Compal Computer, a Taiwan based foundry, would invest 700 million yuan in LeEco, of which 7.0359 million would be included in the registered capital, accounting for 2.1507% of the total shares of LeEco Zhixin after the capital increase. We all know that LeEco has been facing a shortage of funds in the past year. LeEco owes many suppliers money, including Compal Computer.

In November last year, LeTV had repaid part of the overdue debt of Compal Computer (about 920 million yuan), of which 920 million yuan was only a part. Recently, Chen Ruicong, president of Compal Computer, said that LeEco's plan to invest in Compal Computer had been temporarily suspended. Whether to promote the plan depends on LeEco's repayment of Compal's debt.
