After upgrading the 5.8.9 firmware in mid April, the Kindle firmware of Amazon's e-book reader was updated to 5.8.9.2 again. This update can mark keywords faster and focus on optimizing the reading experience of comics.

Firmware update content:

Faster highlighting: You can now click and drag to quickly highlight. Click the highlight again to edit or delete it.

Cartoon page turning optimization: When reading comics, you can use fast continuous page turning, and drag left and right to adjust the speed and direction.

Preview the two page comics: When you read the comics, you will see a two page preview at the bottom of the page. Click Preview to view the full banner preview, and click again to close it.

Cartoon margin trimming: You can hide the margins of the cartoon. This option can be enabled in the [Display Settings (Aa)] menu of comic books.

Generally, when the Kindle is connected to WiFi, it will automatically upgrade to the latest version of firmware after receiving the upgrade push, but the time when the user receives the push is uncertain. If users can't wait for the automatic upgrade, they can download the firmware version corresponding to their Kindle device model in Amazon to manually upgrade.
