Recently, NVIDIA held the GDC 2017 conference, at which NVIDIA officially launched the most powerful consumer graphics card based on the Pascal architecture - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Compared with GTX 1080, this graphics card has been strengthened in terms of core architecture, video storage, heat dissipation, power supply, etc. Its brutal parameters make it undoubtedly the most powerful consumer graphics card at present.

Although it also bears the name of 1080, GTX 1080 Ti is quite different from GTX 1080. First, it is based on the 16nm GP102 core (GTX1080 is based on the GP104 core). It has 28 groups of SM units, 3584 stream processors in total (the same as Titan X, but only 2560 for GTX1080), 224 texture units, 88 ROP units (Titan X 96), the core acceleration frequency is up to 1.582GHz (Titan X is 1.531GHz), and 11GB 352-bit 11GB GDDR5X is configured as standard by default. Each core is brutal enough. Although the video memory bit width is slightly lower than that of Titan X, the memory transmission speed can reach 11Gbps at most, which is higher than Titan X's 10Gbps. Except that the video memory capacity is slightly lower than Titan X, almost all parameters exceed Titan X. The most powerful consumer video card on the surface deserves its name.

In addition to being a ferocious high-performance core, GTX 1080 Ti also enhances the performance of Tiled Cache tile cache. With the support of TILED cache technology, the video memory bandwidth speed has reached a terrifying 1200GB/s.

In terms of power supply, GTX 1080 Ti adopts a new seven phase double FET circuit redesigned by NVIDIA, with a total of 14 double FETs, and the maximum power supply current is up to 250A. The power supply efficiency is further improved, which can fully meet the full load of GTX 1080 Ti.

Although the appearance has not changed much, the 1080 Ti PCB and heat sink have been redesigned. The DVI interface has been canceled, and the heat dissipation area has also been doubled. Compared with the GTX 1080, the temperature can be reduced by 5 ℃ under the same noise, and the noise can be reduced by 2.5 dB under the same temperature.

In terms of performance, NVIDIA officially announced that compared with GTX 1080, GTX 1080 Ti has generally reached 20-50% in games, with an average increase of 35%. The price of GTX 1080 Ti is quite conscientious. The official price is only $699, and it will be fully launched next week.

In addition to the brutal and conscientious GTX 1080 Ti, NVIDIA also released the GTX 1080 and GTX 1060 equipped with the latest ultra strong video memory particles of Micron, and the video memory speeds increased from 10Gbps and 8Gbps to 11Gbps and 9Gbps respectively. Influenced by the news from these two aspects, the price of GTX 1080 (i.e. cash sale) using the old version of memory granules will be reduced from $599 to $499 (equivalent to about 3432 yuan). At present, the current GTX 1080 sold by BOC is 4599 yuan, with an expected decrease of 500-700 yuan. The preferential range is quite conscientious.
