According to Digitimes, Microsoft's upstream supply chain has reported that the new Surface Book has entered mass production and may be released at the end of March or early April.

The Surface Book 2 is expected to adopt the flip design instead of the traditional 2-in-1 design, and the starting price will be lower than its predecessor. Microsoft also recently lowered the price of its existing Surface Book product, the Core i5 128GB model, from $1499 to $1299. Some people also believe that this move is intended to help Microsoft clear its inventory and welcome the arrival of new products.

The new version of the Surface Book continues to use a 13.5-inch display screen with a magnesium aluminum alloy shell. The price is expected to be about $1000, much lower than the starting price of Microsoft's existing Surface Books - generally ranging from $1499-3199.

Although the Digitimes news is biased, it is certain that Microsoft will push the official version of Windows 10 Creator Update to the public on April 11, but now it is only half a month away from the end of March, and it may have entered mass production, but Microsoft will not release it so early, and will find another good time to release it.
