Vivo X9 series, OPPO R9 series and Meitu mobile phone is the most important mobile phone series for self taking in the market. Meitu released its latest self portrait flagship Meitu T8 on February 21. The MediaTek X20+4G memory+128G storage is matched with the front optical anti shake IMX362+rear IMX388, which is the camera configured with Samsung S7 edge and vivo Xplay6 and used on the front. There is no doubt that the strongest self timer hardware now is on this mobile phone.
Packaging and accessories
The outer layer of the Meitu T8 package is a pure black paper box with a rose gold logo, and the rose gold lining has a low-key packaging style.
The opening of the Meitu T8 is like opening a gift (specially designed for male users to buy girlfriend/sister paper?). The top layer is paper documents such as warranty cards, user manuals, etc., and there is also a cleaning cloth inside.
Accessories include transparent water cover, screen film (soft film), Type-C data cable and charger.
Meitu T8 supports fast charging. The charger manufacturer is Jiangsu Chenyang, and the maximum output power is 9V/2A, 18W.
There is no doubt that Meitu T8 is the product with the highest appearance in all generations of Meitu. What we got is the color matching version of "Magic Orange". The symbolic upper and lower triangle design of Meitu has become mellow and relaxed in this generation, and the forehead and chin will not touch hands as before. The whole anodized aluminum back cover has a uniform radian, which feels good. In addition, this generation of Meitu uses curved antenna partition strips, which are also very rare. The partition strip is of injection molding process, which fits smoothly with the body and is of good workmanship.
The 2.5D glass on the top of the fuselage is higher than the edge, and the whole contour edge is polished. In the middle is a rather exaggerated front camera. Sony IMX362+optical anti shake, and its lens size is also significantly larger than that of the normal mobile phone and the rear of the Meitu T8. Above the camera is a whole line of earphones/speakers sticking to the outline of the body.
The bottom uses the entity Home key, which can be pressed, and the feel is normal. The left and right multitask and return keys use dot backlight. At the bottom is the loudspeaker which is completely symmetrical with the forehead.
Meitu focuses on the front, but because of unknown reasons, the outer circle of the rear camera of Meitu mobile phones in past dynasties is very large and convex, with concentric circles and bright edge decoration of the outer chamfer, but it still drags off the appearance.
There are narrow polished bright edges on the upper and lower sides of the frame. There is no connector on the top. At the bottom are microphone, headphone connector, Type-C connector and speaker.
The Meitu T8 adopts the key layout of "left volume, right power", but the power key is on the high side. The author, a 180 tall male user, can only reach the lower part of the power key in his normal holding posture.
The sim card slot is on the power key, but it supports a nano SIM card. There are few phones with a single card in domestic phones. Another special thing is that in order to facilitate self taking/photographing, there is a physical shutter button on the lower middle right side of the Meitu T8. It is estimated that this is the position that most female users will naturally reach when they hold it normally (the power button may never be expected in a lifetime, and its position is actually lower than the shutter button...).
The Meitu T8 uses a 5.2 inch 1080P screen. Although the forehead and chin are still longer than normal phones, the border control is good, and the sharp corners before are much more rounded. The single hand grip is still guaranteed.
