LG has officially announced that MWC will launch their next flagship G6 in 2017.

As mentioned in the previous news, LG will equip its flagship with a 5.7 inch large screen, with a ratio of 2:1. LG also emphasizes the ultra narrow frame, and the G6 screen will account for more than 90% of the total area. Although there is only the upper part of the phone picture in the picture, the screen at the bottom of the phone is only slightly higher than the border.

In this view, Xiaomi MIX is indeed the first pioneer to launch an ultra narrow frame, and it is rumored that the Galaxy S8 will also use this aesthetic design. The difference is that the display angle of G6 is slightly radian.

In terms of chips, Forbes reported that G6 will use Snapdragon 821 instead of Snapdragon 835, because Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first to order Snapdragon 835. After the introduction of S8, other OEMs can only use the surplus chips. As Qualcomm pointed out when it released Snapdragon 835, Samsung is the only partner of Snapdragon 835 so far - Samsung has a 10nm chip manufacturing process.

According to Internet news, G6 will improve its design progress this year because it gave up the G5 modular design last year. As a flagship, G6 finally has its own pattern - made of glass and metal, no longer mixed with plastic materials. The headphone jack will also be waterproof, and the battery can no longer be replaced.

However, not all features of G5 have been abandoned. There are still some continued designs on G6, such as dual camera system and fingerprint sensor in the middle.

After the failure of modular design last year, LG's mobile communication position, which was not stable at all, seems to have a better prospect now. The G6, which is expected to be a key battle for them, is waiting to see.
