After opening it, you can see the two AAA (No. 7) batteries for power supply, but these two batteries are only disposable batteries and will be abandoned when they are used up. Of course, users can replace rechargeable batteries by themselves. The only key is the sync button.

One of the big problems brought about by the highly praised magnetic fixation design is that it is difficult to find a suitable place as a breakthrough, so we have to force it open. Finally, I reluctantly removed the part of the battery box.
Check the battery box carefully. The small part above may be the Bluetooth antenna. Four small magnets are arranged around it for fixation. At the same time, it can provide some damping when used on the Surface Studio.

Back to the original disassembly part, the disassembly of the center part is much simpler, just rotate and unscrew it, which is much more elegant than the violent disassembly just now.
Further disassembly is to separate the central bearing. Elastic switches are set on the middle plate to ensure full feedback, and vibration modules are set on the side to provide feedback when rotating and clicking.
Now it's time to play the key part, which is responsible for the components that Dial clicks and rotates. The microswitch is responsible for the click function, while the one responsible for the rotation function is a component with the mouse optical sensor, which is also equipped with a reflector, which is very special.
As for the main chip, the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52832 low-power Bluetooth chip can be clearly identified.
