Recently, MediaTek made another effort to announce two high-end chips: Helio X23 and X27.
They are the upgraded version of Helio X20, which improves its overall performance, video recording ability and brings lower energy consumption. The X23 and X27 adopt a ten core three cluster architecture (2 x ARM Cortex-A72+4 x ARM Cortex-A53+4 x ARM Cortex-A53). The highest frequency of X27 is 2.6GHz, and the GPU frequency is increased to 875MHz, which is 20% higher than Helio X25. Both X23 and X27 are equipped with an upgraded Imagiq ISP, which not only enhances the full pixel dual core fast focusing, but also integrates color+black and white dual photography and real-time shallow depth of field photography for the first time in the industry.
The X23 and X27 are equipped with the Envelope Tracking Module, which can dynamically adjust the output supply voltage according to the strength of the output signal of the power amplifier, so that the power amplifier can significantly improve the efficiency, reduce the power consumption and heat generation of the mobile phone RF, and save about 15% of the power at the maximum output power rate.
In addition, MiraVision Energy Smart Screen power-saving technology can intelligently and dynamically adjust screen system parameters according to different display contents and ambient brightness, which can reduce screen power consumption by up to 25%.
