1. Appearance

The above picture shows the clip fixed with the rear-view mirror, which is fixed with a strap. There is a black rubber buffer at both ends, so there is no need to worry about damage to the rear-view mirror.

The area of the 360 mirror version of the DASH CAM is a little larger than that of the ordinary original rear-view mirror. After all, most models should be considered. Some models with more intelligent equipment, such as Volvo equipped with urban safety braking system, may not be suitable for installation.

The recorder solution this time is Ambarella A12, which is a new product released last year and is also a more high-end vehicle image recording solution. The camera supports free adjustment in multiple directions, and the most appropriate angle can be obtained no matter how the rear-view mirror is adjusted.

There is also a gesture camera sensor in the upper left corner of the rear-view mirror. As long as an object crosses, the recorder will automatically take a picture. This function is convenient for the driver to record some landmarks and special events in the formal map, which eliminates the trouble of flipping through the video.

Although a 5-inch display screen is used, it does not support touch operation. All operations are carried out through the five physical keys at the bottom. Personally, physical keys are better in terms of reliability.

The interface on the top of the recorder, starting from the left, is the charging port, memory card and function expansion interface. The memory card supports 16GB~128GB. Considering the recorder's requirements for read/write speed, it is officially recommended to use a class 10 or higher high-speed card. For example, I personally use a 32GB class 10 card, and it is no problem to record after a week of normal use. I suggest that you choose a larger card, in case you want to find video photos one day.

2. Function

This is my old generation recorder. The original base is not like this. It was re mailed by 360 after improvement. Although it is not large, it will still obstruct the sight in the rearview mirror.

The installation of the rear-view mirror version is very simple. Just fix the recorder on the original rear-view mirror with a strap, and the wiring method will not be issued. Just to say one thing, please try to use the power supply of the cigarette lighter, do not connect the power from the sunroof or reading light, and do not change the original vehicle's wiring. Once the car has a problem, it will be too tiring to argue with the car manufacturer.

With the installed recorder, it can be seen that the rearview mirror is basically completely wrapped. I suggest that the strap should be tightened to the second buckle. In the above figure, I found that the resonance phenomenon is very serious in use. After all, it is not hard to connect with the original vehicle. After tightening the strap, it will be much better. Vibration and resonance can not be avoided due to the impact of road conditions.

The observation range of the DASH CAM mirror is much larger than that of the original vehicle, so please pay more attention when reversing or changing lanes. Visual changes will directly affect the final judgment. The bigger the rearview mirror, the better. Eyes will deceive you.

The power cord comes down from the top and plugs into the gap of the trim panel. Except for the exposed section, it is perfectly hidden.

The 5-inch display in the middle is large enough, with good clarity, large font size, and various functional options corresponding to physical keys, making it easy to get started. The setting function provides common functions such as video resolution, date/time, emergency recording sensitivity, volume adjustment, etc. The advantage of the large screen is that it is more convenient to watch videos in real time on site.

The sensitivity detection of the recorder is very sensitive. It is suggested that everyone adjust the emergency video sensitivity to low. High sensitivity is too neurotic. Even low sensitivity will induce the recorder to start recording when passing the deceleration strip and opening and closing the door. I can only say that it is too sensitive, but I like it.

Picking up and taking photos is a must. It is also a very powerful skill. It is also very convenient to use it in practice. It is recommended to adjust the speaker volume to low, otherwise it will be too wordy again and again, and driving will be distracted.

I choose the first of the two video resolution options.

Parking monitoring, which is a function not available on the original recorder, should be said to be a function not specifically implemented, because the parking monitoring needs to consider the power supply. The 360 mirror version of the DASH CAM has a built-in high-temperature polymer lithium battery with a capacity of 500 mAh. I've tried it. I haven't driven for two days in a row. The recorder's driving monitoring function is still available. Some cars are powered off when the key is removed, including the cigarette lighter. Some are not. My car belongs to the former. This performance of the recorder surprised me. The efficiency of power management is too high.

The 360 DASH CAM APP has been constantly improved. In addition to viewing and downloading videos from the recorder, it also supports community sharing. You can also share videos or photos from the recorder to the community, all of which you want to complain about.

Small videos or photos can be recorded in the APP, and the connection process is also very simple. The rear-view mirror version recorder, like the ordinary recorder, has built-in Wi Fi, and the mobile phone can be connected to Wi Fi.

In the APP, the photos taken by the recorder and the photos taken by the APP control are separated for easy searching.

3. Usage

The recording function is the most basic function of the tachograph, which should be able to operate stably and record the scene truly. The picture quality of the daytime recorder is good, and the viewing angle range is also very wide. In the picture above, the motorcycle does not follow the signal light. Once there is a problem, the consequences are terrible.

This is the screenshot in the evening, and the video part will not be uploaded. I'm worried about the compression of the image. I can actually see the license plate within 10 meters. According to the different ambient light and speed, I may not be able to see the license plate clearly, but basically how can I see the car type and the accident scene.

Generally speaking, it is no problem to cross three lanes. At least six lanes can be observed in the video, which is important to restore the accident scene. Wait for the screenshot of the signal light. There is no problem in identifying the license plate within ten meters.

Night photography in sports has a great test on the recorder, especially capturing. It is normal to not see the license plate clearly. As mentioned above, there is no problem in identifying the vehicle type and the scene of the accident, which is critical to judging the responsibility of the accident.

There are many feelings about the 360 rearview mirror version of the recorder. First, the rearview mirror with a wide view has a wider observation range. The 5-inch screen in the middle is full and practical. The camera has a wide range of adjustment angles. The recorded video quality is also good. It is convenient to take pictures with gestures. Parking monitoring is available and the standby time is long. There is no problem with the heating and vibration of the bracket on the old model. It is a pity that the 360 mirror version of the DASH CAM can add and expand many functions, such as navigation and reversing images. It is a waste not to use the large 5-inch screen.
