The packing box is side opening type, and a semicircular opening hole is reserved at the opening to facilitate opening the cover and taking out the inner box. The outer packing box is soft and thin, and the opening is torn when the inner box is removed.

2、 Camouflage appearance, unique

After taking off the plastic bag, the TKM610 gunsmith's upper shell is painted with four colors of black, brown, green and yellow jungle camouflage, which is different from the traditional single color matching. When playing military themed games, it feels more like being in the scene.

The back of the keyboard is still traditional black without camouflage coating.

[Red circle] 8 round foot pads are evenly distributed around the keyboard, with screws for fixing inside. Among them, the floor mats of 5 and 8 are obviously higher than the others, and they are protruding.

[Yellow frame] There are two rectangular foot pads on the outside of the left and right legs, which are slightly higher than the bottom. They can be used to fix and prevent slipping without using the legs.

[Blue frame] There is a hidden folding support foot on the upper left and the upper right, and the rubber foot pad is also covered at the bottom, which has obvious anti-skid effect.

The product nameplate is pasted in the middle of the back shell, with white characters on black background, neat printing and clear handwriting.

The whole keyboard is high in front and low in back. It is placed on a horizontal table with a natural inclination of about 10 degrees, which conforms to the ergonomic design and makes the control more natural and flexible. If a greater inclination is required, the support legs can be erected with a maximum inclination of 15 degrees.

TKM610 gunsmith adopts 97 key layout, and the left half is standard design, which is basically consistent with the common keyboard layout.

The right half integrates the function keys and direction keys of the standard keyboard with the numeric keypad, reducing the number of keys, shrinking the size, and saving space, but the functions are not shrinking. The 97 key can realize all the functions of the 104 key standard keyboard.

The 97 key layout is also different from the standard keyboard, for example:

The number keypad and the function keyboard are combined into one, and the number and direction input conversion is realized by switching the [NUM] key. When the [NUM] key indicator light is on, the number entered is 0-9; When the [NUM] key indicator light is off, the up, down, left and right direction control is realized. 4 is [DEL], 5 is [END], 6 is [PGDN], 7 is [INS], 8 is [HOME], and 9 is [PGUP].

TKM610 Gunsmith's key cap is made of ABS material, and the black coating has a delicate skin friendly texture. The letters on the upper part of the key cap are made of radium, with clear edges, good light transmittance and high recognition rate; The lower part of some key caps is also engraved with letters or symbols, but it is printed and opaque. Each key cap is unique and designed in different styles according to its location. The front is low and the back is high, in an inclined shape, with a certain slope, and a slightly concave surface, which has an excellent fit with the finger belly to ensure that the force is evenly applied when striking.

Different reinforcement measures are taken inside each key cap. For longer keys, additional support structures are added inside, such as the space bar, where crisscross support bars are added inside.

There is a number on the back of each key cap, such as B00 (16 in total), C00 (11 in total), D00 (15 in total), E00 (35 in total), a total of 77 standard consecutive labels. In addition, such as A08, B02 (2 in total), B02-01 (5 in total), B04, B05, C03 (3 in total), C07, C10, C11, D02 (2 in total) E04、RR60， A total of 20 special numbers. 3、 Cherry black shaft, quality assurance

The important difference between mechanical keyboard and traditional membrane keyboard is that each key has an independent control switch, which is the axis to be highlighted below. TKM610 gunsmith adopts Cherry MX series black shaft produced by German factory, which has good elasticity, good hand feeling, small delay and long life, and can easily cope with office typing and game competition. Competitive mechanical keyboards love this kind of shaft with a sense of stepless fall and strong resilience, because it will bring high-speed input experience and excellent game performance.

TKM610 Gunsmith has 97 axes in the whole keyboard, of which 90 are short keys with single axis structure; The long key adopts the satellite shaft structure, that is, there are two secondary shafts on both sides of the main shaft body for support, and the two secondary shafts are connected with steel wires to rise and fall at the same time. There are 7 satellite axes in total, and the five keys are arranged horizontally, that is, the secondary axis is located on the left and right sides of the main axis; The two keys (+number key and RETURN key of the numeric keypad) are arranged vertically, that is, the secondary shaft is located above and below the main shaft. The most special is the space bar, which is the most distant.  

Each Cherry MX black shaft is composed of shaft seat, shaft cover, shaft core, spring, etc. On the appearance, Cherry and cherry patterns are engraved on the shaft cover, indicating that it is an original German shaft and a symbol of identity;

The shaft core is a convex cross structure, corresponding to the concave cross column of the key cap. Cherry MX names the shaft according to the color of the shaft core. The black shaft core is called the black shaft; In addition, there is a groove on one side of the cross column of the shaft core to indicate the direction of the shaft core.

The TKM610 gunsmith has configured an indicator light for each axis, whose height is the same as the height of the axle cover, and the lamp cap is crystal clear with high light transmittance. Unfortunately, only monochrome LED lights that can emit red light.

Since the letters and numbers on the key cap are engraved on the top, Cherry MX black axis is installed upside down, with the indicator light on the top and Cherry LOGO on the bottom; It is only placed in the positive direction, with the indicator light below, corresponding to the light transmission strip on the key cap; And these three lights are not turned on by default, but the words on the key cap are still transparent, just because of the position relationship, the light transmission effect is not obvious, which can completely change the surface printing style of the energy key to be more eye-catching.

4、 Exquisite production and solid workmanship

As this is my first mechanical keyboard, I was curious about the mechanical keyboard and wanted to explore its internal structure, so I started to disassemble it. After disassembly, it is found that the mechanical keyboard is very different from the membrane keyboard in structure. I see. The mechanical keyboard is mainly composed of key cap, upper shell, mechanical shaft, steel plate, back shell and keyboard line. The detailed disassembly steps are as follows:

The first step is to take the key cap. I have to complain about the titanium degree here. There is no key puller. This work makes me very tired and upset. I cracked the [CAPS] key.

Step 2: Remove the shell. Open the eight rubber foot pads on the back of the keyboard to expose the eight cross screws hidden below. One of them in the lower right corner of the back was stuck with a tamper proof sticker with a titanium logo on it.

Then, after removing 8 screws, the front camouflage shell can be removed. Note that in addition to the screws, the camouflage shell is also fixed through the buckle. It needs to be carefully cut off with a tool. Hard breaking will break it.

After taking off the upper shell of camouflage, the following is the steel plate used to fix the mechanical shaft. The Cherry MX black axis above is arranged in order. There are 5 cross screws on the steel plate, which are responsible for fixing it on the rear plate.

Step 3: Remove the back shell. After removing the five screws on the steel plate, turn the steel plate over. Below is the PCB circuit board. There are four pins on each key position, two of which are small ones for diodes and two of which are large ones for mechanical shafts. The keyboard cable is directly inserted into the socket reserved on the PCB board, so it is convenient to replace the cable. The keyboard cable is fixed in the rear shell in W shape, which has a certain tensile pull capacity. In order to protect the keyboard cable, an additional plastic protective sheet is added at the contact part between the circuit board and the keyboard cable, which can safely and effectively separate the mechanical shaft pin from the keyboard cable to prevent the pin from puncturing the keyboard cable.

The keyboard cable is firmly fixed, and the protective measures are very effective.

On the circuit board, there are many control chips and text marks. Among them, HOTEK HT1632C is a Hetai LED driver, which is responsible for controlling LED display and circulating LED brightness.

The last step is to assemble and restore. Because the mechanical shaft directly passes through the steel plate and is welded on the circuit board, it cannot be disassembled further, and the original appearance of the mechanical shaft is restored. If there is a problem with one of the shafts in the future, you can continue to complete the next shaft replacement step. The restoration process is extremely simple. Reverse operation is enough. When installing the camouflage shell, first fix it with half buckles, and then screw on the screws. Otherwise, the shell will become loose with large gaps. In addition, when installing the key cap, pay attention to the order, and do not make mistakes that affect the use.

After appreciating the internal beauty of the mechanical keyboard, I have to appreciate its exquisite workmanship and design intentions. On the basis of the standard keyboard, another mold was created to create this 97 key limited edition mechanical keyboard with camouflage appearance.

Part II: Beautiful, intelligent and practical; E-sports is a powerful tool.

5、 Plug in, WIN7 is perfect and MAC compatible

The TKM610 gunsmith clearly stated that it supports Windows XP/7/8/10, drive free, plug and play.

When I first used my WIN 7 laptop, I quickly identified the name of the keyboard as: USB Full Speed Gaming Keyboard， And start to search and install the corresponding driver. After successful installation, the keyboard lights are all on to achieve full key input and control.

The keyboard is not unplugged after the laptop is turned off. The next day, when the user logs on the interface with the keyboard connected, the keyboard cannot be recognized, the light is not on, and the user cannot use it; Insert and dial again. After the light is on, you can enter the password to log in. I wonder if it is a bug?

In addition, the keyboard drive attribute in the system is displayed as HID standard keyboard, which means that the system's own drive is installed. I was going to update the latest driver on the official website, so I installed the e-sports wizard PC terminal program provided by the website, but when running, I was prompted that the titanium keyboard could not be retrieved. Through communication with the customer service, we learned that the keyboard is free of drive, so we did not provide any relevant drivers and software to find the best drive for the TKM610 gunsmith, which ended in failure. In my heart, the idea that the limited edition is a high-end product was smashed by the reality.

In the MAC system, when the keyboard is inserted for the first time, the system prompts that it is unrecognizable, and a manual configuration window pops up. After operating in sequence, the keyboard can be used, but the Apple function keys still need to be manually adjusted: the option and command keys need to be interchanged, and the last two items in the last figure need to be replaced to be consistent with the keys of the Apple keyboard.

After power off, enter the system again to automatically identify the keyboard, and the keyboard supports the wake-up function. Clicking any key will light up the keyboard indicator and screen.

Due to the drive mismatch in the MAC system, although it does not affect the use of the 75 keys in the left half, some function keys in the right numeric keypad cannot be used. The most influential one is the [NUM] key. Since it is not recognized, it is impossible to switch between digital input and function and direction input. In addition, the [00] key is not recognized, and the input cannot be realized.

In working mode: the numeric keypad can be used. The default is the direction keys and function keys, and numbers cannot be entered.

In game mode: the indicator light of the [CAPS] key is not on, but it can be used normally, and case can be switched. The numeric keypad can be used, and numbers are entered by default.

After continuous exploration, we found a rule: switch from the working mode to the game mode, and the number keypad can input numbers. Because the [NUM] key is invalid, it cannot be switched to the direction keys and function keys; When switching from the game mode to the working mode, the numeric keypad can still be used for numeric input. At this time, if the [CAPS] key is pressed, the default direction key and function key control will be restored, and the conversion to numeric input will no longer be possible. As required, you can use some functions of the numeric keypad by repeatedly operating as above.

No matter what kind of operating system, the TKM610 gunsmith can fully cope with the daily work and use. Except that it is slightly inconvenient to use the [NUM] key to switch, it is basically the same as the standard 104 keyboard. This report uses the TKM610 gunsmith to code words. 6、 Light adjustment, rendering the atmosphere and doing whatever you want

As mentioned earlier, the TKM610 gunsmith is equipped with a red backlight, and the indicator lights are all on in the working mode; In the game mode, three light modes can be displayed for different games; And the light brightness can be adjusted manually according to the use time (day or night). If you are not satisfied with the light display mode automatically configured at the factory, you can manually adjust the light on/off of each key to create a unique personal keyboard backlight display pattern.

In addition to full brightness, there are two default light combinations:

Through trial, the TKM610 gunsmith is only equipped with red LED lights instead of mainstream color adjustable RGB LED lights, so the backlight is obviously not its strong point.
