However, when incompatible machines are displayed, 20% red is still used, so the color will fade. Display P3 is mainly expanding in the red/green direction, so red and green are most affected. Fortunately, WeChat and Weibo can automatically change the color gamut of shared photos a few days before publishing, but most of the photo editing software and image sharing apps still have to wait for adaptation.

In order to be compatible with the mainstream sRGB content at the same time, iPhone 7/7 Plus provides sRGB and DCI-P3 display modes. iOS will decide whether to switch based on the application. Its sRGB color gamut is 103.4%, the average DeltaE of 104 colors is only 1.6, and the highest is only 3.9, which has broken the previous record of all mobile phones and once again became the king.
