On October 25, the Bank of Korea said that as the fourth largest economy in Asia, South Korea's economic growth rate from July to September was 2.7% year-on-year, which was the slowest growth in South Korea since the second quarter of 2015. The suspension of Samsung Note7 will hit the Korean manufacturing industry heavily, which will ultimately be reflected in the reduction of 0.2% of GDP growth in Q3 2016.
The Wall Street Journal said that Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 about two weeks later than expected. The main reason for the delay is that some members of the S8 team were assigned to the project to find the cause of Note7 spontaneous combustion. Up to now, Samsung still has no clear answer to the problem of spontaneous combustion of Note7.
