GTX 1050/1050 Ti Releases AIC Separatist Regime
GTX 1050/1050 Ti Releases AIC Separatist Regime

On October 18, NVIDIA officially released GTX 1050/1050 Ti, replacing Maxwell's GTX 750 Ti architecture, and is expected to replace GTX 960. The two new graphics cards still use this year's dominant Pascal architecture, but the manufacturing process has changed from the TSMC 16nm of several flagship graphics cards previously released to the 14nm process, which is rumored to be Samsung OEM. This is also the first time that Pascal architecture uses 14nm process nodes.

From the comparison of parameters officially announced by NVIDIA, GTX 1050 Ti has made great progress compared with GTX 750 Ti, especially with the 14nm process, which is only 28nm. In addition, Pascal architecture is superior to Maxwell in energy efficiency ratio. So even though the GTX 1050 and GTX 750 Ti have the same number of stream processors, the former is more competitive than the latter. However, NVIDIA did not compare the GTX 950 and GTX 960. It is estimated that the latter two can still fight for some time to avoid affecting the sales volume, so they will not start to dry up.

Unconsciously, GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 have been released for a period of time, but they are all positioned in the high-end and flagship markets, which can not help but make consumers who are eager for the mid end dessert level graphics cards a little disappointed. The first model of Maxwell architecture in that year was the GTX 750/750 Ti targeted at the mid end. Back to the GTX 1050/1050 Ti, compared with the GTX 1060, the core of the GTX 1060 is further castrated from GP106 to GP107, the thermal design power consumption is reduced to 75W, and the video memory bit width is reduced from 192 bits to 128 bits. In addition, the stream processor, texture unit and ROPs are reduced to a certain extent, and the CPU core frequency, Boost frequency and memory frequency are also reduced. GTX 1050 Ti is also different from GTX 1050 in specifications, but the parameters of video memory are similar. The biggest difference is only that the video memory is reduced from 4GB GDDR5 to 2GB GDDR5.

GTX 1050 Ti has three Display Port 1.4 interfaces, one HDMI 2.0b interface and one DVI interface. The GTX 1050 removes the DVI interface. Unlike the flagship graphics card, the GTX 1050/1050 Ti does not support VR Ready and SLI Ready, but it still supports G-Sync Ready, GameStream Ready, GPU Boost 3.0, and is compatible with DirectX 12.1, Vulkan API, and OpenGL 4.5 standards.

It is rumoured that there are not many public graphics cards in GTX 1050/1050 Ti, so AIC can prepare for a separatist regime again. In addition, the middle and low-end market has always been the price segment where NVIDIA and AMD compete fiercely. This year, many foreign media reported that AMD's market share has increased to a certain extent. The behind the scenes contribution is actually the middle and low-end market, so NVIDIA and a number of AICs need to recover their lost ground in this price segment.

The above is the partial details of the GTX 1050/1050 Ti graphics cards from AIC displayed on the NVIDIA official website. Consumers who have not bought a real machine for the time being can hope to quench their thirst.
