OCZ, recently acquired by Toshiba, released a new SSD VX500, which is different from the entry level product that uses TLC flash memory. This is a Toshiba 15nm MLC flash memory product. The OCZ VX500 is a traditional 2.5 inch SATA 6Gbps specification (7mm thickness), and is mainly controlled by Toshiba TC358790. It is estimated that it is the product of cooperation between Toshiba and Qunlian.

In terms of capacity, there are 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB in total. As for the service life that consumers are most concerned about, the lifetime data writes are 74TB, 148TB, 296TB and 592TB, and the maximum daily writes are 40GB, 81GB, 162GB and 324GB, respectively. In addition, the average time between failures is 1.5 million hours. The maximum sustained read/write speeds of the four specifications are 550MB/s and 515MB/s respectively, and the maximum random read/write speeds are 92000 IOPS and 65000 IOPS respectively. The price has not yet been announced.
