Different from other domestic contact charging methods, ticwatch2 adopts a wireless fast charging scheme from IDT, which claims to realize fast wireless charging under effective control of heating. Charging efficiency is 75%. Moto360 charging can also be used universally. It avoids the erosion of the contacts including taxes and the abrasion of the back cover (yes, yes, it means that the inwatcht bayonet contacts are charged, 5 contacts, and currently 3 contacts are all worn away by sweat). The base uses MicroUSB input, but this base has canceled the indicator light, and it is not friendly to check whether it is full through the power indicator light. However, it feels good. I often use it to play with things that are not charged at ordinary times (similar to the obsessive-compulsive disorder of turning pen when I was young). The rubber bottom is relatively difficult to slide.

Getting started

About the ticwear system: First of all, it should be noted that the watch versions of both ticwear and Alibaba's Yunos and TencentOS are directly customized based on Android rather than modified based on Android wear, possibly due to the combination of licensing and market environment. Ticwear uses OTA push updates, which are updated 1-2 times a month. This experience is mainly based on ticwear 4.2.

Here is an overview of the basic interaction of ticwear. View the shortcut card from the dial down. Slide on the dial interface to enter the notification interface, slide right to enter the query interface, and scroll left to enter all APP lists. The wearing effect is still more comfortable than that of my silicone wristwatch. After all, it is leather, which is relatively breathable. The boot animation is pretty good, very flexible (see my previous video report). Like the conventional smart watch with a screen, it is also paired by scanning the watch's QR code with a mobile phone. After some simple wizard settings, you can enter the system. Chang'an's current dial can enter the dial changing mode, just like changing the mobile phone desktop, it varies from person to person, but I rarely change the dial and get used to the classic format. Although you can't just look at the surface, in some ways, you can also roughly see a person's attitude and pursuit of life through the dial.

However, I am not rigid. I change my dial and mood occasionally, which is also one of the highlights of the smart watch on the display screen.

Maybe many smart watch players, like me, have learned what it can do after experiencing all the functions, and know that the dials and third-party dials are endless and can be changed at any time, instead of rushing to experience all the dials, on the contrary, some smart watches that lack resources in early platforms will change the dials one by one.

Similar to the interaction of traditional mobile phones, common shortcut options can be seen from the dial down, and customized addition is supported in the mobile phone APP.

The drop-down shortcut card interface has 5 interfaces by default, In addition to the default display of watch power, ticwear also supports the display of phone power, which Yunos and TOS do not have. In a way, the absolute affiliation of the watch as a mobile phone has been upgraded a lot. The first two shortcut cards can be quickly switched on and off and access some common functions of the system. The third music player actually controls the music playing in the mobile phone. However, ticwear 4.3, which was updated just before the deadline, has added the local player function, The built-in player can directly play the local music of the watch. After the watch is equipped with a Bluetooth headset, the mobile phone can be completely replaced by outdoor sports. I like this function update. By default, the fast weather function is added. Because of the high frequency of use, the province has also clicked to enter the application list. This dynamic weather is the most beautiful one among several domestic customized system platforms, and also supports voice broadcast. The last card does not forget to emphasize the sports function. After all, it is upgraded from the bracelet. Although it is not as keen on numbers as before, it is still indispensable. In addition, there is another detail. ticwear will remember the position where you left the shortcut card last time, and the next slide will still enter the last one.

Ticwear uses the right slide to activate the voice assistant. It can also wake up the voice when the dial is displayed on the bright screen. It can be activated by simply saying "Hello to ask" to the watch. Although it cannot wake up directly when the screen is turned off, it also avoids the unnecessary power consumption of false activation and long-term detection of external sounds in the background. Some netizens also said that the scheme of opening and moving forward and backward can be directly controlled by voice in any interface is not too difficult in theory, but the current endurance is not allowed.

To get back to the point, the Chinese search function is also a selling point of ticwear. After all, the product is called "ask watch" in Chinese. Naturally, a lot of efforts have been made in the search field. Ask about the weather, restaurant, travel time, etc. will receive data from the corresponding service platform. For example, as mentioned above, when I asked about the food nearby, the results were from public comments, which made ticwear a good platform to carry user needs and provide third-party resources, a new form of search on mobile terminals.

Speech recognition efficiency and speed are good. Like the current voice assistant of mobile phones, it can search data, simply ask and answer, and open the APP. If you want to know what can be answered by asking, you can refer to some help by sliding up the activation query interface. However, the degree of intelligence is still relatively rigid, and it is not possible to connect the previous and subsequent conversations. For example, after asking how the weather is today, the voice assistant can only repeat the weather of tomorrow and cannot connect the previous conversation. Although the official claim supports multiple rounds of voice, the actual operation experience still needs to be optimized. With the same idea, I set the alarm clock. If I continue to cancel the alarm clock with voice, it will not work. I must cancel it manually. Then the whole interaction logic of voice does not form a complete closed loop, and the experience is not superior. The optimization is also endless.

More often, asking is equivalent to a platform that gathers multiple WEB APPs, and it is also practical. Although the watch does not have a built-in translation application, you can translate some common words in various countries by asking search, which can be played by voice, and annotated with white Chinese characters, so you can never go out without failing to pass level 46. With regard to 3G functions and charges, after successful pairing, the watch and the supporting mobile phone APP will prompt to activate the 3G call function. This is a new function on Ticwatch2. It has a built-in Sim card for Minsheng Communication. You can directly go to the real name activation website of this virtual operator to make and receive calls independently. Section 170, China Unicom system. Sending and receiving short messages and surfing the Internet, plus the GPS function and WIFI are not lacking, it is completely a small independent mobile phone. However, the manufacturer of ticwatch2 stated that after activating the SIM card, it would not be possible to return or replace the product for seven days without any reason, so the user should not rush to activate it before buying, and then consider whether there are problems with other functions. In addition, although it is opened, it can be cancelled, but this is irreversible. Once it is cancelled, it cannot be opened again, unless you return to the factory to replace the chip sim card.

When the 3G module has not been activated, click the phone application of the watch, ignore the activation reminder, and you can see the call records and contacts synchronized through the mobile phone Bluetooth. No matter you click on the call record, the phone book or the dialing keyboard, because the built-in 3G function is not enabled, after you call, you use the Bluetooth headset to call the phone. The watch's SMS function can only be used after 3G function is enabled. The schedule function does not have an independent adding interface, and only adds the schedule by asking the assistant voice.

The sports mode provides a variety of sports types, and can set different sports targets. It can also monitor the real-time heart rate when starting sports. In fact, the real-time heart rate detection mode has been turned on when you click to enter the home page of the sports app. At the same time, the screen under the sports mode has a low light level mode, which can keep the low light level screen that saves electricity constantly lit during sports. The weather function has been mentioned in the previous shortcut card, which is really the best one among the built-in applications of similar watches. The dynamic background plus voice prompts can improve the sensory experience a lot.

This function was just updated by ticwear 4.3. It is a real watch offline music player, which can synchronously transmit music to watch through mobile phone APP. You can also wear a Bluetooth headset to listen to the songs played by watch directly outdoors and exercise. However, the actual synchronous transmission of songs to the watch is slow. Expect to optimize the experience, such as adding specific progress bars, to avoid the mistake of being stuck.

Stopwatch, recording and timer, which are not used frequently most of the time, are really very practical small life functions. Hold up your hand to set and remind at any time, so as to avoid the inconvenience of using mobile phones in different occasions.

The alarm clock function is simple. In addition to the regular click to add, you can also ask the assistant to add voice, and avoid recognition errors. There is still a countdown of several seconds in the process of successfully adding voice recognition. You can click to cancel the alarm clock at any time.

In addition to asking the voice to help you count, you can also use the independent calculator application. It is rare to see built-in calculators in the watch version systems of YunOS and TOS. It is difficult to arrange too many buttons under the round dial, but ticwear has made a good rearrangement of calculators, and the basic computing functions are completely OK. The "+- ×÷" symbol has been stored for two levels, and the current input can be deleted by clicking the black numerical output display area at the top.

The setting function is different from other watch customization systems due to the addition of WIFI, 3G and other functions. It is more similar to the setting classification of Android. Generally, preference settings are more customized. Tell me about my current settings, which can also provide a reference for my endurance test experience in the future. WIFI and 3G are not turned on, Bluetooth is not connected to other third-party devices, the voice is turned on to the maximum, the power saving mode is not turned on, the screen is turned on, the wrist turning control is disabled, the password service is not turned on, the privacy push is turned on, the brightness is 3, the constant bright twilight mode is enabled, and the hot word wake-up search is enabled.

Compared with Tencent WeChat's non open communication protocol, Didi Taxi and Alipay are more generous and have direct cooperation. In particular, Alipay itself has a watch version of YunOS, and has also cooperated with other manufacturers to issue YunOS based payment forms, but it has no monopoly function and monopolizes YunOS. In order to make Alipay more convenient for users to use in more channels, we can also enjoy offline payment of Alipay on ticwear, which is not considered deeply by WeChat.

When the watch is clicked on Alipay for the first time, a matching QR code appears. Then, open the security settings of Alipay on the mobile phone and find the smart watch matching by scanning the code. However, because the size bar code is too fine, whether I went to the shop using the scanning gun of the payment form or the method of using the mobile phone tablet to take the bar code deduction, I failed. Finally, I switched to the two-dimensional code mode and finally recognized it successfully (the scanning gun of Alipay is no longer available, and does not support the two-dimensional code mode). It is reported that the tic team is still working hard to develop the QQ Chatter watch version, looking forward to its early release.

The customized version of Sogou Map not only supports the low light constant light mode, but also supports the flexible zoom map screen. Simple reference is enough.

As long as Alibaba Smart is installed in your mobile phone, the watch version will be installed simultaneously when the ticwear assistant synchronizes the application. However, it may be the most problematic and inconsistent with the promotion at present. With Alibaba Smart, the mobile phone should also start the corresponding app first, but even if my mobile phone is running Alibaba Smart and connected to the smart device, The watch version of AliSmart still doesn't work properly. According to the feedback from users of the forum, even when it was possible to use the mobile version of Alibaba Smart, and the watch class has fewer functions, so this experience can not be overemphasized. Another watch APP customized by cooperation, which is worth buying, is also weak. It has single functions and cannot be used when switched to mobile phones.

Alibaba's YunOS mobile version, Tencent's TOS mobile version and ticwear, three of the most influential watch customization systems in China at present, are relatively mature and easy to use. Many operations are more interconnected with each other. Records, screenshots and other files in the watch can also be easily synchronized back to the watch, making the watch not only serve as an information receiver for mobile phones. YunOS watch version system is more functional, and TOS inWatchT is more simple and intuitive. In addition, ticwatch can easily use Watch Maker to DIY dials in mobile phones, which is indeed a major selling point to attract users. In terms of third-party dials, YunOS has not been changed at all. TOS used to have some people unpack the dials and package the apk files after modification. Although commonly used watches are still used for notification, heart rate, step counting, etc. However, rich dial updates, tic details experience, app and other rich extensibility, as well as more important good ecological platforms, are also added to the overall experience.

Mobile APP

Download ticwear assistant on the mobile terminal (supporting Android 4.3 and above, ios 8.0 and above). It is recommended to use an Android phone with ticwatch to achieve more comprehensive functions. It is consistent with the conventional smart watch pairing scheme. Scan the code, pair the QR code, and set a series of wizard settings. Due to the addition of infrared sensors, the guidance process also includes the setting of gesture passwords to facilitate your use of Alipay and other personal privacy data. When the watch is not on you, the screen will be automatically locked so that others cannot view and use it.

The overall visual interaction design of the APP main interface after entering follows the design of Material Design. The mobile assistants corresponding to Yunos and Tos are in their own businesses. Relatively speaking, I like the design style of the ticwear assistant. The only thing I feel bad about is that the app store is actually an independent installation package. For the user experience of ticwatch, it is obviously better for the assistant to integrate the app store. I can only guess that the tic team asked the app store for independent packaging operations, Convenience is used for all watch devices supporting ticwear.

Ticwatch is different from other platforms. After downloading an application, you need to manually click "Synchronize Application" of ticwear assistant to push the application changes to the watch.

Ask the number of software in the app store is more than that in the domestic customized watches of the same kind. After all, it is the first domestic customized watch system based on Android. However, there are also some problems. There are not many applications that are truly adaptable, stable and excellent, which can be understood as the reason for the early establishment of the ecosystem. Although wearables often occupy the headlines, the user base is far from forming enough scale, and manufacturers need to continue to work hard to promote the platform.

The functions can be set in Chengdu. Many options can be directly operated on the assistant, and you can also view the history of sports health. The recently updated ticwear 4.3 version also adds music management. The watch has 800M space for mobile phone push music to play independently. Compared with Yunos and Tos, which represent different camps, the role of tic need not be worried, so we can see that Alipay function and WeChat access campaign are integrated at the same time. Non monopoly is really for users.

The price of 3G function: no long-distance/roaming/monthly rent, 0.15 gross/minute call, and the 9.9 yuan package includes 30 minutes of voice+50 MB of traffic. However, there is less room to choose the number segment. Considering the endurance of the watch and the positioning as an extension of the mobile phone, if it is not necessary for you to position, you can also completely disable the 3G function.

As for the Android wear compatibility mode, because some third-party applications such as WeChat do not open the communication protocol interface, when you need to directly operate some applications through your watch, such as replying to WeChat operations, unless you use the version developed by WeChat for Android wear, the ticwear system has customized an AW compatibility layer, and after opening it, you can directly download some applications adapted to Android wear, Disadvantages? Naturally, with more connection processes, the power consumption of mobile phones and watches will also increase. After a try at that time, some simple applications will be synchronized, and it will be difficult to stick to it all day long. Considering the endurance of the current color screen smart watch, if you are not Shaoyou, you can usually recommend using the mobile phone's WeChat message push directly. Although there is no quick direct reply, at least you will not miss important information. In addition, what is mentioned here is also the Chinese version of Android Wear, which used to be directly compatible with the international version of Android Wear, perhaps for policy reasons, Now it has been cancelled. (In this regard, TencentOS based watch version inWatch T has an inherent advantage. It can reply to QQ and WeChat directly on the watch. There is no way, after all, Tencent's own.) Oh, yes, TOS based inWatch T has no WeChat payment, It is possible to use WeChat payment to enable AW compatibility for ticwear, but I still use Alipay mainly, and it also comes with its own, which is very convenient. After comprehensive consideration, the AW mode was closed after some experience.

About endurance

The endurance of a smart watch is also an important prerequisite for purchase. According to the degree of use of official watches, they can be divided into: ultra mild, mild, moderate, and severe.

1. Ultra light is a simple process mode such as turning on flight mode, turning off WIFI, and checking time daily.
2. Mild refers to occasionally lifting the wrist to check the time, push, etc. within a day.
3. Moderate is to view push and use apps for a short time from time to time within one hour.
4. The most serious ones are frequent use of applications, long-term continuous lighting of the screen, etc.

Just received the watch's power on at night is similar to 100%, but it seems to be a virtual power. At about 80%, after updating the watch firmware once, it unexpectedly changed to 100%, during which the default setting was set. The next day, it got up at about 85%, and when the company arrived at more than 9 o'clock, it was powered off directly. After returning home, it started the first complete power off charging. It took less than 80 minutes to fully charge.

According to my personal usage habits, the dial is the default, 3G and WIFI are not turned on, the constant light mode is turned off, and other basic defaults, message push is not much, occasionally used for light applications. As shown in the figure, it has been used for nearly 48 hours, 2 days and nights. Obviously, it is much better than just received. The power consumption is mainly used for standby and screen.

For the second full charge retest, this time the screen was always on and turned on, and it took nearly 30 hours to locate a light to moderate use scenario.
