The annual iPhone is coming again. Although the update brought by Apple is not as big as before, it still cannot resist the enthusiasm of consumers, especially the new bright black. Let's go into the disassembly of iPhone 7 Plus immediately.
Apple A10 Fusion processor and M10 motion coprocessor
32, 128 and 256GB storage space (no 32GB version available in bright black)
5.5 inch 1080P resolution Retina HD display (401ppi)
12 megapixel wide-angle (f/1.8) lens and telephoto (f/2.8) lens, 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom
7 megapixel FaceTime HD front camera (f/2.2), supporting up to 1080P video recording
New solid touch Home key, supporting physical feedback of the vibratory engine
802.11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi+MIMO Bluetooth 4.2+NFC
The iPhone 7 Plus is almost the same size as the previous generation (158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3mm), and now has a new model: A1785。
For users who like black, this time not only ushered in a new black (deep space gray no longer exists), but also more attractive bright black color, in addition to the old color: silver and rose gold, At the same time, this generation has changed the ugly antenna in the past. Today's antenna opening design is more beautiful. An obvious change in appearance is that the 3.5mm headphone connector has been removed and the Lightning headphone cable has been used instead.
Let's X-ray it before we break it into pieces. It can be seen that the 3.5mm headphone interface no longer exists. We made sacrifices to make room for the Taptic Engine.
Although the 3.5mm headphone connector is missing, the quincunx screw remains, which makes it easier for us to remove it.
After removing the screws, use the suction cup to pry up the screen, and then use the clip to remove the adhesive.
We can find that this adhesive is more difficult to use than that on the iPhone in the past. It can be seen that this adhesive is intended to achieve waterproof function.
During the disassembly process, it can be seen that there are a large number of black and white adhesives, still to achieve the waterproof performance of IP67.
As we continue to disassemble, we can see that the cable rack is fixed with triangular screws, and the lower part of the cable rack is covered with the battery connection and the cables of the two display screens.
We then used tools to remove the cable rack with great effort to continue to remove the internal components of the 7 Plus.
The mechanical Home key no longer exists. Now the Taptic Engine is used to simulate the real physical press feedback.
Apple still uses a pull strap on the battery, which can easily pull out the battery, but you need to remove many screws before.
Now you can see the battery itself.
It can be seen that 3.82V and 11.1Wh are marked above, which is 2900mAh in conversion, larger than the 6s Plus (2750mAh), but smaller than the 6 Plus, Apple claims that the battery life is one hour better than the 6s Plus.
The iPhone 7 Plus uses dual cameras, dual sensors, dual lenses and dual cables this time.
Two 12 megapixel cameras, a wide-angle lens like the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 (with optical anti shake), and a telephoto lens (without optical anti shake), Apple claims that these two cameras are 60% faster than the previous generation and save 30% power.
It can be seen from the X-ray that one of the cameras is covered by four metal pads. We guess that it should be used to open the optical anti shake.
The motherboard of the 7 Plus is much easier to disassemble than that of the previous generation. It can be disconnected without turning it over.
Tear off the EMI (electromagnetic interference) sticker, it seems that some new thermal management systems have been added.
The motherboard has been removed. Let's see what it is.
Apple's A10 processor part model is APL1W24339S00255 (A9 is APL1022339S00129). We are not sure what the "W" in A10 model means. Our A10 processor of iPhone 7 comes from TSMC. Remember the iPhone 6s? Its A9 processor is provided by Samsung and TSMC at the same time. We are not sure whether the A10 processor is provided by Samsung this time.
From the photos, we can see that A10's mold part model is TMGK98, and A9's is TMGK96. The A10 processor has an area of about 125 square millimeters, and it is not yet possible to determine which mold technology is used.
No matter what technology is used, the A10 processor is super thin. It is believed that the InFO packaging technology is used, Below the A10 processor is the Samsung K3RG1G10CM 2GB LPDDR4 memory, which is very similar to that on the iPhone 6s. As can be seen from the X-ray, the four chips are not stacked together, but are laid flat. This arrangement also greatly reduces the height of the package. The memory uses the package stacking technology, which, together with the A10 InFO packaging technology, greatly reduces the overall height.

There is a ribbon cable attached to the Lighting connector, which is connected to the microphone. The two cables are firmly attached to the speaker opening.
At the same time, the entire Lighting interface module has a very large volume, and is different from the materials used in the previous generation iPhone's Lighting interface. The Lightning interface of the iPhone 7 Plus uses a rubber pad to ensure its waterproof performance.
Now let's take a look at the speakers. We can see that there are some spring contacts and waterproof mesh, The speaker design is the same as that of the 6 Plus and 6s Plus, and there is also an antenna accessory.
IP67 waterproof and dustproof is one of the highlights of the iPhone 7 Plus. How does it achieve waterproof performance?
Although rubber rings are not new, they can well achieve the purpose of waterproof. However, if your iPhone 7 Plus SIM card slot is lost, you need to ensure that it supports waterproof when you replace the new card slot.
After removing several Philips screws, you can see the receiver under the front camera, For the first time, the earpiece of the iPhone 7 Plus also supports the speaker out function.
There are many triangular screws for fixing the Home key and LCD shield board.
Fortunately, there is no adhesive in this place, and the cables are well placed together.
The Home key is no longer a physical key, but a touch key.
Now remove the mute key. There are also gaskets on it, as well as other key parts.
