1. Auto focus

The traditional micro projector will design a focusing wheel on the fuselage, and the user needs to manually adjust the focusing. Due to the limited precision of the mechanical roller, it is often impossible to quickly and accurately adjust the focus. In addition, after moving the projector, the user has to readjust the focus due to the change of the projection distance. From the above test of the same screen projection, we can see that Xiaomei's support for the official Android and Apple projections is quite good, with good compatibility and fast connection. However, for Windows 10, which also uses Miracast protocol, the wireless projection support is poor. Although this is understandable (after all, the official does not claim to support the Windows platform), I personally hope that the manufacturer can solve the problem of Windows projection, so that Xiaomei's on-screen projection will have a broader application scenario.

Xiaomei uses RGB LED light source, with a brightness of 80ANSI LM (300 ISO lumens), a physical resolution of 854x480, and a dynamic contrast of 1000:1. From the perspective of hardware parameters, it is not excellent, but considering its main positioning is ultra portable, it is also standard among similar products. For the projector, hardware is the basis of image quality, and the effect of lens adjustment on image quality is also important. Let's take a look at the actual projection effect of Shenhua Xiaomei.

1. Brightness

From left to right, the pictures are as follows: no curtains in the room during the day, curtains in the room during the day, and no lights in the room at night.

For the micro projector, due to its small size, it is easy to have thermal defocus caused by poor heat dissipation. After watching the video for half an hour, check the focusing effect of Shenhua Xiaomei through PPT courseware.

▲ From the PPT effect, Xiaomei's focusing effect is good. The focus in the central area is clear, and there is no defocus or virtual focus around the screen. However, we also see that due to the resolution and brightness factors, the display effect of smaller and lighter fonts in PPT will be greatly reduced.

Xiaomei is positioned at the mobile portable projection. The body is equipped with a lithium battery. The official claims that the movie can be played continuously for one hour when it is fully charged. Can the actual use meet the standard? The following is the test results in my actual use.

1. Play high-definition video online, and the endurance is 80 minutes.

2. Using MXLayer to play 1080P video in TF card, the endurance time also reached 80 hours.

To sum up, it can be seen that Xiaomei, the god painting with a petite body, can maintain nearly 80 minutes of use time regardless of whether it is played online or locally, and its endurance is quite good. However, I think that if we can further improve the endurance, it will be more perfect to watch a complete movie.

▲ Under the ambient temperature of 27 ℃, the maximum surface temperature of Shenhua Xiaomei is about 40 ℃ when playing the video, and the temperature control is satisfactory.

▲ When the machine is running (no sound file is played), the noise at the air outlet is relatively loud, about 70dB. I feel that the machine fan has been working at full speed. I wonder whether it will be improved after upgrading the firmware in the future.

9. The 80 minute endurance is better than Xiaomei's portable size, but it is still far from the time I expected to see a movie.

10. I was surprised by the speaker's external effect. I thought that this portable projection speaker could only "listen to the sound", but I didn't expect Xiaomei's speaker to have a good film viewing effect within 1 meter range. If the requirements are not high, there is no need to connect an external Bluetooth speaker.

Although Shenhua Xiaomei mainly plays the youth brand, mainly facing the college student market, in my opinion, the excellent portability also directly attacks the pain points of the renters and business travelers.
