Later, with the rise of smart phones, manufacturers competed fiercely in cloud services, and some often gave away 40T cloud space. But these cloud spaces appear to belong to themselves, but after cloud vulnerabilities and net operations, some small movies and other resources stored in the space will disappear silently. At this time, I realized that the original cloud space is also unsafe.

Today, I will introduce a hardware product that can build your own cloud storage space - MagicDisc.

The package is very simple. The common kraft paper appearance has no redundant design and decoration. The package is pulled up and down to open with its own weight.

The accessories are very simple. There is only one power adapter, power data cable and a simple manual.

On the front of the product and in the manual, the words of QQ IOT are very conspicuous, because the magic disc is based on the application of qq IOT, which can be connected to QQ software.

The power adapter has a small shape and outputs 5V2A, but it is marked in red in the manual. Only the matching power adapter can be used.

Kexun Industrial Co., Ltd., identified on the charging plug, is one of the largest manufacturers of electronic and communication accessories in Asia, and the product cooperated with Tencent is also a strong alliance.

The magic disc adopts a cylindrical design, with a slightly upward bulge at the top, like a small round cake. It has a white highlight appearance and is made of ABS plastic, which is slightly smaller than the palm.

There is logo and qq IOT logo on the top, and three symbols below, namely, power supply, USB connection, and network connection, and three white led indicators.

The bottom is also slightly convex and has a circle of cooling holes, but the design is too awkward. It is just blocked when placed on the desktop, and it seems to be unnecessary.

As it is a network device, the magic disc also has the wireless relay function, so the back label indicates the background management and account setting.

All interfaces are designed on the side. It is strange that all interfaces are scattered and not concentrated together.

The USB interface is right in front of the side. As a network disk device, it is a pity that the USB 3.0 interface is not used. It is still a 2.0 interface.

On the right side is the RJ45 network interface, which is the network port for wired Internet access. It is only necessary to lead a network from the route for access.

On the left side are the micro usb power interface and reset button. The button is not highlighted. You need to press it with a toothpick. A short press is to restart the device. A long press for 5 seconds, and the wifi indicator flashes, indicating that the factory settings are restored.

The power cord is very tightly connected to the adapter and the host, but the power cord is short. If you want to put it on the desktop, it is still difficult. Considering the long-term use, I don't think you will connect it to the computer for power supply.

When the network cable and power supply are connected, the interface design is strange. The cable is not beautiful. The power cable is not long enough, so the mobile power supply must be used first.

Use your mobile phone to search for wifi signals, and start some basic settings. Basically, just like the router, you can complete the setup wizard.

From the way of Internet access, we can see that the magic disk can also be used as a router. I choose dynamic IP here. After setting, the magic disk is equivalent to a wireless repeater. It can also be connected to the Internet. The connection speed is very good.

Log in to the background through the browser, and you can view the information status of the magic disc, reset it, change the wireless password, etc.

After setting, open the QR code on the back of the qq scanning host, bind the device, and then it can be officially used.

The main interface of the magic disk is the same as the traditional online disk. It is classified according to the data. All the files are the contents of the external USB flash disk. Unfortunately, the folder cannot be created separately.

There is a setting button in the upper right corner, which can upgrade the firmware of the magic disk and set other settings. The device lock is a verification that can prevent others from logging in to avoid data leakage and loss after changing mobile phones and other devices.

The interface between the magic disc and QQ is in the contact interface. It will be displayed on my device. Like QQ, it will also display online or offline status.

As a cloud disk, you can put family photos or work materials into it, and then authorize family members or colleagues to view and download them at any time. If you can only authorize viewing a folder, it will be better.

In addition to file sharing, data can also be uploaded, but clicking Upload in the magic disk did not reflect, so I had to go back and select QQ friends from the mobile phone sharing, and then select the magic disk to upload, but it always showed that the data was uploaded 0%. I thought the network speed was slow, and it was still like this after several hours. When I checked the internal files of the magic disk, I found that they had been uploaded, It is a display bug. This experience is very bad.

In addition, the names of downloaded files are too messy. They are not named according to the uploaded files.

If the magic disc has wireless charging function, will it be better.

Through this period of experience, this product is more suitable for users with traditional routers. Now intelligent routers can be connected to external storage devices, and also have the function of private cloud disks, but magic discs can be connected to the QQ Internet of Things.

In general, the design idea of this device is very good, but the experience is still poor, and some bugs need to be improved.
