Although the General Administration of "Guangding" has blocked and blocked the development of TV broadcast software, people's needs are the most powerful, A number of excellent TV software and TV boxes have successfully emerged as companions in people's daily life, including the blue cat I want to talk about today - TV cat software.

My next experience is based on the HiMedia TV box, which mainly includes four aspects: the appearance of opening the box, TV Cat software, box system experience and experience summary.

1、 Unpacking and appearance

It was a weekend when I got the express, and I was still working overtime at the company. How diligent (hard) and diligent (forced) the programmer was! Less nonsense, above.

When the box was opened, it felt a bit loose and collapsed, as if it had been disassembled. I wonder if it was because of the trial use? If not, this has some effect on the first feeling, but the feel is still very good.

2、 TV Cat 3.0 software

The interface of this version of TV Cat has been optimized a lot. The selected categories are placed on the left, and the content on the right will scroll along with the left selection, like a scroll. Movies in the category are listed in the most striking place, which is also the special area I often visit. This version has an Olympic zone, where news videos about the Olympic Games are all available. It is convenient to choose.

Turn the left side up, and the content on the right side will be updated synchronously, without clicking again to confirm.

Popular recommendations include information, sports, movies, TV dramas, variety shows, live broadcasts and other recommended content. The recommended content will be updated according to the daily information, that is, every day you open it, you will see a new TV cat.

Turn it up again, this is a more humanistic design. Yonghe can register as a TV cat member. It can record your movie watching hobbies, adjust the recommended content, and always show you the relevant content you want to see, which is more intimate. It also contains the viewing history of the machine, so that users can quickly find the last program they watched.

The system has three shortcut entrances by default, and users can also add relevant module entrances to facilitate and quickly find the content of interest. Of course, the self built entrances of the three systems can also be modified, just like the shortcuts on our computers, which are very convenient.

This is the interface of the live channel. Almost all kinds of TV channels can be found here. The central full set of programs, provincial local channels, and live video provided by some network providers also have a good reservation function. It is convenient for you to follow the show. It can remind users when TV starts, so that you won't miss favorite TV programs.

Now let's take a look at what is hidden in the settings.

At the top of the list is software update, which I have already upgraded. If there is an update, it will automatically remind you.

Feedback is where you complain. It can be seen that the manufacturer still attaches great importance to user experience, and the first thing is to respect your opinions.

The display quality can be set during video playback, which is related to the TV's display ability. My TV can only play high-definition picture quality, and there is no 4K option.

The system includes settings for sound, decoding, image, etc.

Weather setting is to set the city weather displayed on the top of the software. You can select your own city or the other half of the city. Of course, this is for dogs in two places, such as me.

Mobile assistant includes push, remote control and other settings. However, it doesn't make any difference.

The optimization tools include network speed measurement, acceleration, etc. The 100M optical fiber home entry means that this interface is never opened.

Account settings require you to register as a member of TV Cat.

Here I found a bug in the software. Oh, this is a professional habit of the program ape. If you click into the help manual, you will find that no matter how you press the return key, it will not respond to you. What the hell? Do you want to help me to the end and not let me quit?

There are some Q&A problems, all of which are relatively retarded. I think the developers may think that no one will read this thing. If the boss didn't say that he would add a help manual, I would not do this, so I would just do it casually. But this is not very good. You should be more serious.

3、 Box system experience

This box focuses on voice control, and it is deeply customized for mango TV. Let's see how the system works first.

Start up, this is the start up screen, with a pure black background, very good, visual impact.

The first part is to set the remote control. The voice transmission of the remote control is linked to the box through Bluetooth. The first step is to pair Bluetooth and link the remote control. It is also easy to use.

Select language, simplified, traditional and English.

Directly enter the network settings, the keyboard will pop up automatically, and you can enter the password.

I want to say more about this keyboard. The layout of the number keys is better. See the figure below.

The numbers are placed on the left, in the form of a nine square grid, which is convenient for input, and the symbols and numbers are in the same interface without switching back and forth, because people who have input them with remote control have the same feeling, that is, they keep turning back and forth, especially the number keys arranged in a row horizontally, which is called a madness.

After the settings are completed, the main interface is still relatively fresh. The classification is placed at the bottom, and there is a software shortcut in the middle, where you can place commonly used software. The phone is preset with TV Cat and Mango TV software. The music is QQ music. Multi screen interaction allows you to project your mobile phone or computer onto the TV, which is very practical. However, it is strange that since it is mango customization, the movie recommendation displayed on the top is not obtained from mango TV.

Shortly after startup, I was prompted that the system had been updated, and it showed that several problems had been fixed. This is very relevant. It seems that it is a responsible manufacturer. It has not done a deal. It also wants to maintain software for users. I like this. Of course, it must be upgraded! This upgrade can be run in the background without affecting the use of other functions.

This is the hardware configuration of the box. The running memory is 1GB, and the storage capacity of the body is more than 5G. It is enough to install software. In fact, you only need to install a TV Cat 3.0.

4、 Experience

Let's start with the TV Cat software.

1. The software runs smoothly, the operation is more user-friendly, and many settings are also very careful. It is an excellent TV software;

2. The video content is rich, especially movies. Many popular movies can be found, and the picture quality can be guaranteed;

3. There are some small bugs in the software, but it does not affect the use of the program content, which is completely free. Really, you only need to pay an internet fee;

4. Some TV sources in the live broadcast are not HD videos, and there are black edges when they are broadcast on the widescreen TV, which is worth improving;

And the TV box.

1. The voice control is still sensitive, but not very intelligent. The support mode of voice input is iFLYTEK voice input, which is not very standard Mandarin;

2. The content of voice search is all from popular TV. I haven't found any changes, which is not very good, because the search scope is too small, and voice search can't be used in software. For example, I turn on TV Cat and want to search movies with voice, which is impossible. I hope this can be improved;

3. The voice control can open a certain software, and the settings can be set. It does not need standard voice format. For example, if you turn on TV Cat, he will open the software for you, or if you turn on TV Cat, he can also execute it, which is good;

4. The box has its own Bluetooth, which can be used together with the Bluetooth headset, avoiding the fear of affecting family members. Give me a compliment;

5. The HD decoding ability is good. After watching several HD movie sources, there is no jam. Occasionally, the decoding on Xiaomi's box is not smooth. It should be that the running memory or algorithm is not enough.
