Meizu launched Meilan E shortly after the launch of Hongmi Pro, which inevitably made people compare two mobile phones involuntarily. Strictly speaking, Meilan E is not a thousand yuan machine. The mainstream thousand yuan machine in the market is between 799 and 1099 yuan, and the 1299 of Meilan E is close to 1500 yuan. Compared with the Note 3, which also uses MT6755, Meizu places fast charging, more advanced metal technology and CNC cutting on Meilan E. At a glance, it seems that apart from SoC and camera, Meilan E has other elements of high-end flagship.
Specifications
The metal body of Melanie E feels better than that of Melanie Note 3. The CNC corner cutting+integrated metal body makes it not inferior to many domestic flagship in appearance.
The layout of the interfaces and buttons is the same as that of the Meilan series. The position of the card holder is on the upper left of the body, the upper right is the volume and power buttons, and the bottom is the Micro USB, 3.5mm headphone interface, microphone opening, and speaker opening. The grey version of Magic Blue E uses a black front panel and 2.5D glass.
In terms of accessories, Meilan E is the first Meilan mobile phone that supports fast charging, so its charging head is different from the previous Meilan series. The volume of the charging head is about the same as that of the MX series, and it supports 5V, 9V/2A charging specifications.

In terms of photographing, Meilan E uses a 13 million pixel rear camera without optical anti shake. The sensor model is Sony IMX258. As for the IMX258, it is actually a phase focusing version of IMX214. We have seen this sensor on the Xiaomi 4c long ago, and the same model is also used on the Hongmi Pro. From the actual photographic performance of Meilan E, it still hasn't broken away from the consistent thousand yuan level photography of Meilan series. Its weak light imaging is a typical thousand yuan machine performance, and the white balance is not stable (multiple white balances will appear in the same scene). Moreover, Meizu's consistent out of focus problem still exists. Therefore, you don't need to have illusions about the photos taken by Melanie E. Meilan E supports 18W fast charging. We simply tested its charging speed. The original charger was used to charge from 37% of the power to 72% (35% of the charged power), which took 23 minutes, 93% (56% of the charged power), and 55 minutes. Although the fast charging of Meilan E can't compare with the OPPO series mobile phones targeted at their press conference, nor can it compare with Meizu's own MX series ， But its fast charging speed is also acceptable.
