Relying on the position of the core controller of Xiaomi router, Xiaomi smart home products continue to expand the market. Meizu Technology, Xiaomi's biggest competitor, is also laying out smart homes. Meizu recently released a fast version of Meizu Router, which further expanded the scope of Meizu Router and laid out in advance to further occupy the smart home market.

Compared with WEB, APP has more functions. The password used for the first time is admin. The author personally feels that this setting is not very good. It is suggested that the router management password should be set for the first time, which is commonly used by routers. In terms of Internet access, it is basically the same as other routers. The home page of the router APP is relatively simple. In addition to the network speed, there are four major parts: device management, router settings, and plug-ins. As explained earlier, since the router boot page does not arrange to set the router password and wifi password, it must be set. The encryption method of Meizu Router Extreme Edition is too simple. It only provides the WPA/WPA2 encryption method, but does not provide such methods as AES enterprise encryption. However, it is enough for daily family use. The router also supports WPS encryption. The wireless setting does not provide the setting of hiding SSID. The router puts this setting into the plug-in, which is slightly inconvenient to use.

In order to facilitate remote control of the router, users can log in to the Flyme account and bind the router to achieve remote operations, such as remote BT download.

The black-and-white list function and QoS speed limit function, which are the most required in routing products, can be realized through APP operation, and the APP provides online notification of devices to help users effectively identify whether foreign devices are.

The important functions of Meizu Router Extreme Edition are basically concentrated in plug-ins. Functions such as hiding SSID can be set by downloading plug-ins. However, as far as the author's actual experience is concerned, simple switches such as hiding SSID are more convenient to operate in ordinary settings. At present, the router provides a total of 14 plug-ins, of which the file management plug-in is already installed by default, and the external storage devices of the router can be read through the software. What I like most is the blocking function of web advertisements and video advertisements.

Of course, for users who like movies and TV series, the BT remote download function is very practical. Through the application, it is very convenient to search movies, TV dramas and variety shows, and realize remote download and management.

For router products, in addition to their functions, the author is most concerned about signal strength. In the above three signal diagrams, test is the geek version of magic bean router. This version of router has been designed many times in the author's early experience of router products, and its signal strength belongs to the leader of intelligent router products. Two routers are placed in the same location. The three signal contrast diagrams are the signal strength contrast of the other two rooms separated by a load-bearing wall in the router room.

In terms of signal strength, the 2.4G/5G signal strength in the room is slightly weaker than that in the Meizu router version. In terms of the signal strength of the partition, Meizu's 5G wall penetration effect is better than that of the magic bean router, but the 2.4G signal strength is worse than that of the magic bean router. The signal strength of the other room is equivalent. In general, the signal strength of Meizu router has surprised the author.
