[Preface]

In the context of the closure of domestic online disks, MagicDisc magic disk online disk has turned mobile hard disks and U disks into a private cloud storage server, thus saying goodbye to online disks. Speaking of ECS, people in the IT industry are no strangers. It is mainly used to store various documents. Speaking of cloud disks, you should also know that 360 cloud disks, for example, are mainly used to store files without carrying a USB flash disk or a mobile hard disk. The probability of using mobile phones and computers in our daily life is also very high. Mobile phones take photos, upload photos, and computers store data. According to my general understanding, this MagicDisc will bring convenience to our life and work. As long as there is a network, data can be uploaded and downloaded anytime and anywhere. Next, through my trial, let's see if this MagicDisc is satisfactory to us.

[Unpacking]

The product package is generous and simple. The square box: length × width × height (12cm × 12cm × 6cm). The front of the box is printed with MagicDisc, and the back is the product information of the magic disc, mainly including:

Stick a small white circle label on the upper left corner of the back. The W inside represents white.

Open the cover of the square box, and a round piece of equipment in it is worthy of the name of disc. The blue Q logo with black characters on white background is very conspicuous. The four characters "QQ Internet of Things" highlight the connection with QQ.

[MagicDisc Appearance and Configuration]

This MagicDisc adopts a round design shape. After measurement, it is about 9cm in diameter and 3cm in thickness. The size is just right and does not occupy much space. The shell of the entire device is white, which makes the original small device look large, visually increasing the user's sense of saturation, and also makes the device look simple and generous.

The radiating holes at the bottom of the equipment are designed in the form of ray strips. The heat generated by the equipment itself is not much, and these radiating holes can meet the heat dissipation requirements. At the same time, the use information of the equipment is also given for the convenience of users.

There are three interfaces on the side of the device: Micro_USB interface, USB2.0 interface and network interface. The spacing between the three interfaces is 90 °.

1. Power adapter Micro_USB DC 5V2A and reset key Reset.

2. WAN port: network interface RJ45.

3. USB2.0 interface DC 5V1.5A.

Viewed from the outside, this MagicDisc is fixed with an internal snap rather than a screw. The inner buckle is fixed tightly and firmly, and the workmanship is very fine. It looks very seamless.

[Equipment Usage]

The MagicDisc journey can be started in 8 steps.

① Physical connection of the device: (use RJ45 network cable to connect the device with the router, access the mobile storage device, and power on the device). After the device is connected, wait for a while. When the "power indicator", "USB connection indicator" and "wireless network connection indicator" are all on, the device connection is successful. Further operations are available.

② WiFi connection: Open WiFi in the phone settings, connect the device named ZXT_NS_A4, and enter the password to create a connection. (The default password is factory provided: 12345678)

③ Product settings: Open the mobile browser and enter 192.168.99.1 in the address bar. The quick manual or the outer box has the account password provided. After logging in, you can set the Internet and WiFi settings according to the "Setup Wizard". It should be noted here that if the original default WiFi name and password are changed, you need to reconnect the new WiFi name and password in the WiFi settings of the phone or PC to access the Internet.

Or open the computer browser and enter 192.168.99.1 in the address bar, and log in the account password to enter the setting wizard page. The setup wizard page is as simple as the phone setup wizard page.

④ QQ Internet of Things binding: Open QQ, click the "+" in the upper left corner, and then find the "Scan" to scan the QR code at the bottom of the machine, and bind QQ to the magic disk.

⑤ Remote storage: Open QQ and find my device ->magic disk at the contact. You can access your storage device (USB flash disk or mobile hard disk), and the uploaded materials will be directly stored in the MagicDisc folder, which will be classified and stored according to the type of files you upload. Picture MagicDisc/pic, video MagicDisc/video, music MagicDisc/music, file MagicDisc/doc.

Renderings opened on the PC side (company): It's OK to access MagicDisc and upload and download materials through the company's network. Therefore, there is no problem with mobile access.

⑥ Replace the storage device: If the USB flash disk or mobile hard disk is damaged or the storage is full, you need to replace it with a new storage device. When the device leaves the factory, the MagicDisc version is the third version. To change the storage device, you need to unbind the original storage device and then rebind the storage device. Quite troublesome.

To solve this problem, you need to upgrade the MagicDisc version.

Open QQ ->Contacts ->My Device ->Magic Disk ->Settings in the upper right corner ->Check for device updates ->Download updated versions

After the version is upgraded, you can directly replace the storage device. Generally, the storage device can be accessed in about 30s after replacement.

⑦ Friend authorization: open mobile QQ ->Contacts ->My device ->Magic disk ->the top right corner "Settings" ->Friend authorization management ->Add. The basic operation is very simple. Authorized friends can only share 20 people according to the FAQ in the quick manual. In my opinion, this device is mainly for families and working groups. Because it involves data, pictures, personal information, etc., too many people are authorized to avoid information disclosure.

⑧ Wireless AP function: In addition to being an ECS, this MagicDisc also has wireless AP function, which can realize wireless Internet access, and the network speed is quite stable. The following figures illustrate this.

After five speed measurements, the average speed of the WiFi connected to this MagicDisc is 1.0462 MB/s. From the linear graph, the WiFi signal is very stable without large fluctuations.

From the results of the WiFi analyzer, the WiFi signal of this MagicDisc is also very stable. I tested it in the following two ways.

First, close to the source point:

The closer to the signal source, the stronger the signal strength. The signal strength is basically maintained within the range of - 30dBm ≥ WiFi signal strength ≥ - 40dBm. Very stable, no sudden disconnection occurred.  

Second, one wall away from the source point:

The WiFi signal strength separated by one wall is basically maintained at - 60 dBm ≥ WiFi signal strength ≥ - 70 dBm. Mobile Internet access and laptop Internet access are basically no problem, which can meet the demand. There was no disconnection.

[Notes for Use]

During my probation period, there are two points that need common attention.

① About the binding of magic discs to QQ: If there is no storage device (USB flash disk or mobile hard disk) connected to the magic disc, it cannot be bound. I tried not to connect the magic disk to the storage device, then clicked QQ's My Device, scanned the QR code on the bottom of the magic disk, and found that the magic disk could not be bound to QQ.

② About the power adapter: The quick manual states that the power adapter cannot be replaced by other mobile phone power adapters. After I compare several power adapters with them, it is really different. The power adapters compared with the Magic Disk power adapter are HUAWEI and Apple. Their output currents are different. In order to avoid the unstable power supply of the magic disk due to the wrong power adapter, we still need to pay attention to this problem.

Power adapter of magic disk: input: 100-240V~50/60Hz Max0.35A, output: 5V 2000mA.

Huawei's power adapter: input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.2A, output: 5V550mA.

Apple's power adapter: input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.15A, output: 5V1000mA.

[Conclusion]

In general, this MagicDisc magic disc performs quite well. Its advantages are as follows:

First: The workmanship is fine, the volume is not very large, and it does not take up space.

Second: One of the main functions of this MagicDisc is to share data files with a small number of people through QQ. It is simple to set up and easy to operate. As long as the MagicDisc is connected to the home or company network, we can share and store data anywhere and anytime in other places with networks. It is very suitable for business people, enterprise working groups and family members who often travel.

Third: It also has the wireless AP function, and the wireless network coverage is very stable. It can also be used as a wireless bridge tool for home or company office to enhance network signals.

Fourth: The quick manual lists some common problems and precautions, which are highlighted in red. Very user-friendly design.

Fifth: The input of the power adapter: 100-240V~50/60Hz Max0.35A, the output: 5V 2000mA. The device power supply uses the Micro_USB port, and the other end uses the USB port, which can separate the power adapter from the power cable. If the power cord is disconnected, other data cables of the same type can be used.

Although there are many advantages, there are also disadvantages:

First: Only 5 pictures can be uploaded by mobile phone at a time, so it is impossible to upload in batches. The PC can upload in batches.

Second: there is no wear-resistant rubber pad designed at the bottom of the equipment, which is easy to cause friction damage to the bottom of the equipment. Moreover, the heat sink is located at the bottom of the equipment, so it is easy to cause poor heat dissipation if it is not padded high.

Third: The version of the device does not automatically prompt you to upgrade. The version of the MagicDisc I received is 3. When replacing the storage device, you need to unbind the original device and then bind the new device.

Fourth: About the color of the equipment, according to my understanding, there are three colors: black, white and orange. The equipment I received is white. The outer packing box is indicated by pasting a small round label. In fact, it can be printed directly on the information column at the bottom of the outer packing box together with other information, so that the steps of labeling by the manufacturer can be omitted.

Fifth: Online preview and audio of files cannot be realized, and online playback of video files cannot be realized.

[Suggestions for improvement]

First: Realize online playback and preview of various materials (files, audio, video).

Second: The version will automatically prompt you to upgrade.

Third: add three pieces of wear-resistant rubber pads at the bottom of the equipment, and pad the equipment 2-3mm high. In this way, there will be air circulation at the bottom, and the heat dissipation effect will be better!

Fourth: Realize batch upload of mobile photos, instead of uploading 5 photos.
