According to foreign media reports, Softbank Group of Japan plans to offer as much as 23.4 billion pounds (about 31 billion dollars) to acquire British chip design giant ARM. It is rumored that two insiders said that the transaction is expected to be officially announced on Monday. Softbank's offer was £ 17 per share, a 43% premium to ARM's closing price last week.
