[Unpacking]

▲ In terms of packaging design, Meilan note3 continues the simple design style of Meizu series products with white as the keynote. The logo with the words "Meilan note3" is printed on the front and the basic information of Meilan note3 is pasted on the bottom.

[Appearance Design]

▲ Last year's hot 1000 yuan machine Meilan metal is regarded as bringing Meilan's product line into the metal trend, and this generation of Meilan note3 has changed a lot according to the shape and ID design of the previous generation. Regardless of the materials, the overall style is also in line with Meizu MX5. The 5.5 inch FHD high-definition screen well inherits Meizu's narrow frame design, In addition, note 3 has added the popular symmetry design language this year. The front lens and sensors are located on both sides of the earpiece, which makes it more pleasing to the eye. Meizu's iconic waist shaped Home key at the bottom of the screen integrates fingerprint identification and touch back functions, and the Home key is slightly concave than the front panel glass, which just fits the finger's belly completely, making it very comfortable to touch.

▲ The front panel glass has been restored from the ordinary glass of the second generation to the gorilla glass of the first generation, and the conservative 2.5D polishing treatment is adopted. A circle of white plastic buffer is added between the screen and the frame, which reduces the chance of screen fragmentation and the feel of arc transition.

▲ From the back of the metal body to the bottom, there are 13 million main cameras, dual color temperature flash lights and Meizu's new logo. The transition between the plastic signal at the upper and lower ends and the metal part is relatively natural. The T-slot design that was previously grooved has been polished at the edge of the slot. The thickness of 8.2mm is not thin, but fortunately it is not so cut in the hand.

[Screen performance]

▲ The 5.5 inch screen with 1080p resolution is now a relatively mainstream configuration, but as an LCD screen, it has only 450 nits brightness, which makes Meilan note3 lack the ability of one bright screen to cover all ugly ones, exposing some color deviation, and the overall color temperature is cold and blue. Fortunately, the screen color temperature of Meilan note3 can be adjusted in the settings, and you can choose the appropriate color temperature according to your preference. The visual angle range of the screen is good, but the color reproduction is more blue.

[System Experience]

▲ The Flyme OS version evaluated this time is 5.1, which is developed based on Android 5.1. The system UI is simple and blue, and the setting interface also returns to the standard version of Android. The system icon is irregular in shape. The third-party icon can choose the Flyme style or the software's own style.

▲ In terms of single handed optimization, Flyme OS also makes a lot of efforts. For example, sliding up on the homepage can realize global search, and sliding down can call up the notice bar. Background applications are stacked, but the clearing function on the top is not convenient to operate. There is a split screen function in the upper right corner of each background application, which is a good user experience for users who need to open two applications at the same time.

▲ The Home key of Meilan note3 integrates the fingerprint identification function. It takes a long time to enter fingerprints. It takes about 15 times to enter them back and forth, which is not very convenient. Fortunately, the identification speed is good and the accuracy rate is high. Whether you press the Home key directly when the screen is stopped or touch the Home key lightly when the screen is lit, the unlocking speed is fast.

▲ In the setting, Flyme os can realize a variety of gesture wake-up operations, such as double clicking the bright screen and some quick customizable gesture operations. There is also a suspension ball setting, which can realize various operations through the suspension ball after opening.

▲ The system is beautiful, and there must be one or more functions. Yellow pages can be found on the phone. The service function covers a wide range, and it is convenient to find services such as express delivery and traffic. Through cooperation with different third-party software companies, Meizu has integrated many functions that can only be completed by a separate APP into the same place, and managed the food, clothing, housing and transportation of users like a housekeeper.

[Camera experience]

▲ Meilan note3 still uses a 13 million pixel main camera, with a simple photo taking interface and fast camera startup and phase formation speed. Compared with the contrast focusing, the PDAF phase focusing of Meilan note3 is fast when the light is sufficient, but it can still see a little trace of back and forth wind box adjustment of focus, which is not clean and neat enough. After the voice control in the camera is turned on, just say "take a picture, eggplant" to take a picture of the phone, which is a good function for users who shake their hands when pressing the shutter.

▲ From the above photo samples, the main problem is that the white balance is not accurate enough or the color tone has its own style. Compared with the real scene, the restoration of the sky blue is more vivid, and perhaps higher saturation can really be more pleasing. As for whether this bright imaging style is your dish, it depends on your own needs. The performance of macro is good, whether it is the effect of background virtualization, or the details of leaves or flowers, it is very good.

[Performance and endurance]

▲ The CPU of Meilan note 3 is MediaTek Helio P10 processor (MT6755), which is an 8-core combination based on Cortex-A53 architecture. The GPU is Mali T860, and the low configuration version has 2GB memory. The configuration parameters are not eye-catching, but after this period of use, the sliding response of the desktop is relatively fast, and the opening speed of daily applications is also good. During this period, the CPU always keeps the two cores closed. During specific operations in the application, the CPU utilization rate is not high. From this point of view, Helio P10 does not have too much pressure on daily applications. The comprehensive score of Meilan note3 is 43053 according to the score run of Anthare software, which should be good for mobile phones at the price of 799 yuan.

▲ NenaMark 2 mainly tests the image processing ability. Through the NenaMark 2 software test, the score of Meilan note3 is 59.5fps, which means that the screen can be refreshed nearly 60 times per second when playing the game, which is quite smooth in the vision.

▲ In terms of actual game experience, no matter it is a small cool run game or a large 3D game, there will be no obvious "stuck" phenomenon. However, when the backstage is open too much, there will still be a shortage. So if you want to use it comfortably, you'd better not save 200 yuan and buy the 3G version directly.

Meilan note3 is equipped with a 4100mAH super capacity battery, which is officially said to have a standby time of up to 16 days. It can be said to be Meizu's mobile phone with the largest battery capacity so far. In the actual measurement, after 6 hours of heavy use and 8 hours of standby, the final power is more than 50%. In daily use, it can be charged once every two days. During the use of these days, the sense of security brought by the large battery is the most impressive part of note3. Unfortunately, no more efficient fast charging technology is used in the charging. It is measured that 42% of the charges are charged in one hour, and it takes a little longer to fully charge in two hours and 45 minutes.

Summary

The test of Qianyuan has never been the R&D and design ability of manufacturers, but the insight into consumer needs. Meilan note3 chose the appearance, fingerprint, battery, full network access and energy consumption ratio that Meizu considered more important. At the same time, it brings standardized 1000 yuan machine level photography, a screen with poor look and feel, and the fast charging technology that is not available but still desirable. But we can be sure that the price of Meilan note3 combined with the price of 799 is very attractive, especially suitable for practical users who are good enough to use.
