Cisco's security experts reported that there is a serious bug on the Intel HD series core display. Hackers can use this bug to execute arbitrary code on Win7 computers that use HD core display, while on Win8, the system will crash. This bug exists in 15.33.42.4358, 15.36.30.4385, 15.40.4404 and earlier versions. Intel has issued an official security announcement, hoping that users can upgrade the latest HD core display driver as soon as possible to fix the bug.
Cisco said that sending special code information to the HD core display driver on the communication function of the BUG would cause service interruption/arbitrary code execution.
