However, few things are perfect. The K71 I got is a green axis, which is a pity for the author who always likes the black axis. In addition, its color is gun color, which is slightly lower than silver white. So after a detailed understanding, the author thinks that we should clarify some misunderstandings for friends who want to enter the K7 series keyboard, so that they can better choose the products they need.

At present, there are three types of Raytheon K7 series. The selection of color and axis is shown in the following figure. Among them, only K75 is the highest silver white and RGB backlight, and K71 is the gun color. The author understands it as the black metal color of the gun, which is the same as the monochrome backlight of K70. Previously, the author thought that the keycaps were all metal. In fact, all K7 series keycaps were injection molded plastic materials. The difference was that K75/71 had a layer of electroplated metal paint on its surface, which made it have a metallic texture and luster. It was reasonable to think that this price was too extravagant to make all metal keycaps, and the cost was unacceptable, For friends who have the same misunderstanding with the author, we hereby make a clarification to avoid unnecessary unhappiness. At the same time, the author is puzzled by the fact that K71 is all gun color. In fact, the production costs of these two keycaps should be the same. Since the backlight function between K75 and K71 has formed a product distinction, why do we still make this artificial separation in the appearance? Isn't the brighter silver K71 more popular? At least we should provide users with a choice, This is probably the difference between the engineer led design and the product manager led design. It is the product team that needs to think about whether to design the product from their own imagination or from the actual preferences of users. Of course, it may also be the author who stands up and doesn't have a backache. The manufacturer's choice is right or wrong, or it should be left to the market to check.

The keyboard I got was Thunderobot K71C, the Green Axis, which made me a little unhappy at the beginning, but it also became the first Green Axis keyboard, giving me a chance to experience Green Axis in depth. The whole K7 series uses The feel is very close to that of Cherry axis, which is reasonable and acceptable for the price of K7 series. After actual experience, the feel is also very good, especially the click sound of green axis that is close to the mechanical printer makes the author addicted.

Unfortunately, before getting this keyboard, the author suffered a minor injury to his chest vertebra, and was slightly inconvenient to move. He reluctantly took several photos in front of the desk. Raytheon K71 adopts the popular suspended design, which is conducive to cleaning and has good dust-proof and waterproof performance. The entire base is made of aluminum alloy, which is very thick and heavy. The base is provided with water guide holes, which further improves the waterproof performance of the keyboard, which is relatively rare in mechanical keyboards. What impresses me most about Raytheon K71 is its high appearance. In fact, compared with the racing lantern with RGB backlight, the author prefers this monochrome backlight, which is simple, practical, not so fancy, and certainly not so cool. Only the direction key and window key are blue cold light, and the rest of the keys are red light. The author thinks that the color matching is more scientific and technological. Of course, this is just my personal preference. Maybe people with a warm personality will like this design based on warm colors.

The bottom plate of Raytheon K71 is provided with drainage holes. The height of the bracket can be adjusted to facilitate the selection of the use angle. The entire base is made of aluminum alloy, which is very thick.

Every time it is turned on, it defaults to the full backlight mode. Although the setting is very simple and takes only a few seconds, it still adds an operation step to the user. In addition, the author once encountered a situation where the light switch could not control the light but was controlled by the breathing light switch. This situation was only encountered once. It should be an accidental event that the light switch was re inserted and pulled back to normal. However, it also exposed some shortcomings of the product, which needs to be improved by the manufacturer.

Raytheon K71C It is not the black axis that the author likes, but it is still a keyboard that the author can't put down.
