  Nowadays, with more and more cars and narrower roads, all cities are faced with the problem of traffic congestion. Traffic accidents, traffic violations, road rage and other incidents are constantly escalating, which puzzles the majority of drivers all the time. Novice must have a reliable driving recorder on their first day on the road. Old drivers say that it's OK to love cars, scrape and touch them, and there will be insurance companies to pay for it! But if someone accidentally touches someone, or someone touches you, it's not a trivial matter. It's not enough to pay for selling the car every minute. Today, we are lucky to evaluate a tachograph, Mehome MC6.

I applied for the evaluation activity on Lei Feng's trial platform for the first time. Unexpectedly, I stood out in the crowd for the first time and was the first to win. I sighed that happiness came suddenly.

[Unpacking]

The host of the recorder is wrapped with sponge, which is well protected. The sponge smells a little bad.

  The MC6 mainframe is small in size and composed of silver and black, with an avant-garde and fashionable design. It is equipped with Hi3516C_v200 CPU, a new generation of HiSilicon, which is 36% higher in performance and 18% lower in power consumption than the previous generation. It can greatly reduce the heat of the machine and significantly improve the recording performance. The whole body "core" is for you.  

The more sensitive CMOS image sensor Panasonic MN34227 is equipped on the MC6, which, together with F1.8 large aperture, 152 ° wide-angle high-definition lens and Meihang's leading image processing algorithm, makes the shocking and delicate image quality possible. 7-grid scale memory line. According to the height of different models, engineers have designed 7-grid scale so that users can adjust the angle of the recorder according to their own needs.

The recorder fixed with double-sided stickers has always been my first choice, because the recorder with suction cup base used to be used often causes the suction cup to fall due to the temperature difference, and the recorder will follow and shake when passing the bumpy road. The base of MC6 has been set with double-sided stickers when leaving the factory, and the spare double-sided stickers are also provided as gifts, which is very considerate. Gesture photography is one of its characteristics. During driving, you can take a quick picture by simply waving your hand under the recorder. You can also take a picture by voice, which is both practical and entertaining. There is also a small microphone under the recorder, and the recording effect is good.

Dual USB cigarette lighter power supply. After the recorder is connected, another USB interface can be used to charge the mobile phone, with fine workmanship.

This black box is the gps module. At present, there are few tachographs with gps positioning. The biggest highlight of MC6 is this gps. After playing with it, the first feeling of my editor is that this gps is great, and I will give you a detailed explanation.

Installation

Now let's welcome my car, Dongfeng Honda XRV, the favorite of Saonian people. Let me show you how to install the DASH CAM and route it.

If you don't have a professional rocker refitting tool, you can use a measuring pencil or a small screwdriver with a small mirror wiping cloth, and a small flashlight. This is our main tool for wiring.

Everything is ready for installation.

The first step is to power on the recorder and start it. Don't be eager to stick it to the glass. After adjusting the position, turn on the phone, preview the perspective, fine tune it, and fix the recorder after adjusting the position.

There is a lot of space reserved in the roof gap, so you can easily plug the wires in. Here, you need to give some advice to the manufacturer. This USB cable has an interface with corners. If it is used, it will be more beautiful and wiring will be more convenient.

Gps is installed in the upper right corner of the front windshield, which not only does not block the line of sight but also is conducive to searching for positioning signals.

The sealing rubber strip of the door has good elasticity and can be inserted along the edge of the door.

The wires are inserted along the gap of the passenger glove box.

Vice- The guard board under the driver can be removed, and the wires can be passed through the glove box and extended to the cigarette lighter interface, and the redundant wires can be tied up with ties.

Finally, turn the vehicle power on, and the recorder indicator lights up. The whole installation process took 20 minutes.

The recorder is completely hidden behind the rear-view mirror, and only a short section of cable of the recorder is leaked, so the driver's line of sight will not be affected.

The co driver position and the A pillar of the cable are perfectly restored, and there is no sign of prying.

Scan the QR code on the manual or download the client on the official website of Mehome.

Before connecting to the app application, the user must first open the wifi to search for the signal of the recorder and connect it. The initial password is 12345678, and then open the app, which is mainly divided into four sections: recorder, magic vision, album, and individual.

Recorder: setting of real-time picture and some important functions of recorder.

Fascinating Horizon: In Fascinating Horizon, there are two small sections, the square and the travel notes. The square contains some official videos of new product advertisements, use tutorials, assembly and disassembly, and other users' sharing. The travel notes record the path of users' driving.

Photo album: It contains photos and videos from mobile phone and recorder. Users can download photos and videos from recorder to mobile phone through wifi.

Personal: In the personal section, you can find answers to some common questions and options such as device firmware update.

After recording the video, the DASH CAM plays the video. The icon originally played at the bottom becomes the stop icon, but it blocks the track of the car on the map. I hope to optimize this problem. In fact, the play button does not need to be placed on the map. You can refer to the way of the video player and send it to the side of the progress bar.

The recorder has powerful setting functions, among which the most intuitive is the management of the memory card. It is clear at a glance how much capacity is used and how much capacity is occupied by photos and videos. It is also very convenient to format.

Travel notes are the biggest highlight of MC6. When we drive from a place to the destination, how far we have traveled, how much time we spent, and the route we have traveled can be recorded here. GPS plays the most important role.

Select multiple videos to download to the mobile phone, and the download speed is very fast.

After many times of searching, I finally found the download option of offline map, which was hidden under the "About Us" column. I hope to modify it and put the offline map in the main menu or list a map management column separately.

Details determine success or failure. Please pay attention to the white double arrows in the lower right corner of the full screen and the reduced screen. It seems that the diagonal line is not aligned with the corner position. It looks awkward. When playing the video, the current speed can be displayed at the bottom, which is quite good. If you receive a notice of speeding violations one day, the recorder can also look at the speed of your car that day, providing evidence.

[Photo effect experience]

At 7:42 in the morning, the weather was fine, and the recorder had an ideal photo taking effect. The license plates were clearly visible in about two parking spaces not far ahead.

The front car is one parking space away from the stationary car, and the license plate can still be seen clearly.

When the vehicle starts and maintains the speed of 26km/h, the license plate of the front vehicle is blurred beyond two parking spaces.

Comprehensive Evaluation

The MC6 DASH CAM is fashionable in shape and small in size. All the recorders that do not block the line of sight are good recorders. The GPS module is one of its features. The actual experience of the recorder is that the distance between the visible license plates is about 2 parking spaces, which can meet the daily needs of ordinary users. The details of the app side menu and icons still need to be improved.
